I tend to think the most overwhelming cause of grief for her was the guilt of her actions and the consequences it wreaked on her marriage. How will the department manage to positively identify each and every poster. Both employees and non employees? Then, how will they prove it was actually the person using the device? You can say IP addresses all day long. And that's great. If they're logged. And if they're from employees.

A large number of posters are, in fact, not employees.
And the ones who are, how will you tie the person the self as the poster to the account linked to the IP?


And all of this is IF this website gives them up,p. Historically, there's been much worse shit posted here. The only times eh surrendered it is via court order due to criminal activity. Felonious and serious criminal activity.

A class 1 misdemeanor of cyber bullying is going to be limited to one or two people, tops. The majority of posts about her were from BEFORE she killed herself. So how will you definitively prove that she even experienced "cyber bullying" to begin with? Do you have her testimony to that fact? I think not.

The fire department has a huge fucking problem on its hands with managing this. There is no effective way to meet public demand by "reprimanding them all" when you can't find who did it and you can't charge them with much on criminal or civil activity. Yet the Facebook warriors want "everyone fired" and other unreasonable, emotional, knee jerked reactions.

I'm not an attorney, but am familiar with the culture in a few of these county fire companies and it's ugly. Reading through these posts I sense much of the shaming came from the men and possibly their families but it's not only social media and forums like this that do some of these women in - there are ongoing pranks at the stations they work at, crazy wives and lots of ex-wives to constantly contend with, and threats to the safety of these women. It is not being managed and something needs to change.

What IF the supposed nasty comments were made by her husband?

What IF she took her life because her husband told her she was a worthless piece of crap?

What if SHE was going to be reported for sexual harassment in the workplace?

This woman made an ADULT "choice" to have some sort of relationship with someone other than her husband. Don't give the Ross and Rachael "we were on a break" excuse. I'm almost sure they became separated by the so called affairs.

It's always a blame game. It was most of the supposed "family supporters" who dredged all of this crap up. Her family were probably aware of what went on, yet you "kind" and "concerned" souls decided to bring it all up again.

Only Nicole, her family and LE know what was in the note. THEY know what the reasons for her CHOICE are.
Maybe she didn't even have any reasons.
Just because WE think someone should be saved, doesn't mean THEY want to be.

This is a matter for her friends and family. They all knew what transpired when her car with the note was found.

I think you should got check out the Virginia code under Computer Harassment. And what happens to that misdemeanor when the harassment leads to a death. The woman, as well as another was named. That's a problem for whoever the original poster.

This goes well beyond whether or not thsee posts had anything to do with her decision or not. This entire page has been naming women, within the department in a derogatory manner for months. Not men, but women. They didn't talk about whether the female slept with a married man and his infedelity. They talked about hers. It takes 2. 2 adult decisions. Not only her, but the other females mentioned were specifically called "sluts" and "whores". If they find that the original posters were members of the department, that is a problem. There are still women named or at least 1, I am assuming, that works there. At this point, this isn't a behavior that can happen within the workplace. It shouldn't happen at all, bUT especially the workplace.

Proof could possibly be in her suicide note.

"I killed myself because of Fairfax underground."

Or something like that.


For all we know she killed herself because she has a long history of psychiatric illness.

Or maybe she did it because she just found out some bad news and couldn't cope


Or maybe because she found out she could save 15% on car insurance by switching to GEICO
