I retire from the World Bank with my $200k pension and getting out of Dodge

I've invested 25 years in this shithole of an area. No more. I'm taking my earnings off the table and leaving. The earnings was good, but the quality of life fucking sucked. Back to Ireland where the grass is green, the girls are redheaded and the Guniness is cold. Thanks D.C. for the fucking money, but no thanks for the experience. Everyone can go fuck themselves in the ass. Your area and your fucking country suck!

My neighbor worked for the World Bank. Fucker had more money and a retirement plan that was out of this world. The guy basically walked on water. He made more than a Congressman and the President. His benefits were upper level type. Cushy job.
Enjoy your retirement OP.

World Bank (and IMF) are good jobs if you can land one. Most Americans can't because of the rigorous qualifications and the competition. I had a roommate at UVA who was top notch, smart as a whip and impeccably qualified, but could not get a job there. I think they hire the kids or aristocrats. Pretty closed-net organization. Benefits are out of this world from what I understand. On a different plane from where I am at. I'm just a lowly GS-15.

I retired from the World Bank in 2006. Pulling in $275,000 in retirement. No complaints.

No. Not this. It's who you know and how you are connected. I deal with many IMF employees and most are dumber than a box of rocks. They have absolutely no common sense and are helpless people. Plus only about 1 in 20 are Americans.

This^

Tried to land a job there once. Graduated from uva with a good gpa AND went to SAIS for grad school. Still couldn't get in. Talked to someone working there at the time who told me it's sort of an unwritten rule that they don't hire many Americans. Wasn't really told why. I was told to try my luck with the imf but treasury dept worked just fine.

At retirement age, you won't have to worry about dating any redheads. Grey heads is more like it. Hahaha!

Buh bye, you won't be missed.

In reality the OP lost his janitorial job and is being deported back to Ireland due to lack of employment.

I have 4.7 million in savings but I like living on Americana drive in my shitty condo surrounded by gangs, nigs and illegals.

The OP has replied several times to his own thread. In reality, he has poor writing skills, and is most likely a student at NVCC, doing his posting from a library computer.

The real Benefit from World Bank is sitting outside on an 80° Day and watching The Ladies Walk by!
