UPDATE: Bus Overturns, 4 Seriously Injured, Driver Charged
54 passengers on the bus heading from New York to Georgia, according to Virginia State Police.

Four people were seriously injured and the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 were closed early Monday when a commercial bus overturned on its side with 54 people aboard.
The injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near the 137 mile marker in Stafford County, according to Virginia State Police. The bus reportedly ran off the left side of the road and overturned onto its side.
All 54 passengers were transported to area hospitals — including those not injured, in order to keep the group together and to provide shelter during the rest of the winter storm, according to State Police spokesperson Corinne Geller.
The driver of the bus, Qilong Xiao, 50, of Flushing, N.Y., has been charged with reckless driving. The crash remains under investigation, but speed is believed to have been a factor, according to Geller.
The bus, a 2005 Van Hool, was heading from New York to Doraville, Ga. It was operated by Princess Tours or Indianapolis.
The Virginia State Police Motor Carrier Safety Team responded to the scene and notified the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

It was a Chinatown bus, you can take a trip on the East Coast for less than $20. The companies that run these lines often get in trouble for poorly maintained buses and unlicensed drivers.

Those discount bus lines are always in trouble and being fined. But for some reason DOT lets them continue to operate.
I guess people like the cheap tickets but it doesnt do much good saving on a ticket if you end up splattered all over I-95.

All of the passengers were taken to area hospitals but Geller says it appears only four suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
According to state police, the bus driver is being held on reckless driving charges at Rappahanock Regional Jail, on $5,000 bond. VSP spokesperson Corinne Geller said speed was a factor in the crash.
ABC7 spoke with a woman who was on the bus and was taken to an area hospital with dozens of other passengers.
The woman, who was being x-rayed for chest and back pain, said the bus was traveling "way too fast" when it lost control and flipped over, causing people and luggage to fall on top of other people.
State police said they are working with the bus company, Princess Tours Inc., and the passengers to help secure alternate transportation to get passengers the rest of the way to Georgia.

Any bus can flip over not only Chinese driver. Greyhound has been in an accident before not like they havent. I think it is safe if you drive yourself.
