let me say since no one else has.

the report says the 28 yr old bulligerent grabbed a police baton and injured the officer

the baton is a deadly weapon, and in the hands of a shelter person. the batons are heavy metal, easily killing who is hit by them. they are not "night sticks" per say, they are not sticks at all.

i don't value the record of police shootings by ffx however i feel sorry for them in this case. they did have a crazy man with a deadly weapon and couldn't leave until they resolved the situation, and were being beaten at that. there are harmless people and staff there. and no doubt a crazy person with a baton woudl use it against anyone for any reason: very easily leading to bad injuries and death.

(for those of you that don't know your a prisoner without a trial at the shelter "for the disabled": and arrested if you try to leave). fucking facists. many shelter people are nice and don't belong imprisoned there - and should work at menial jobs and live among us: and are there because fx. co. official steal like crap. however some are there for a reason. some will injure others or break stuff for absolutely no good reason but they are crazy. and fx. co. does abuse people at the shelters they get no human rights and are treated like dirt by staff.

it's strange fx. co. police dont' have tasers or rock salt or rubber bullets.

tasers may be expensive (not compared to fcps and feeding illegals!!!). but rubber bullets ? why not those ?

They really need to take the internet away from the Lamb Center.

I only clicked on this one because I couldn't believe someone could be stupid enough to misspell homeless twice. I read the post and now I believe it.

Was the shelter injured? Did the ambulance take it to the ER?

How many shots were fired in bringing the shelter down?

If the shelter died from its wounds, who is going to dig a big enough hole to bury that fucker?

First of all. The cops do carry tasers but the County will not purchase them for all officers. The cops do carry batons. My question is this..........was the cop one of the wimpy ones that you see who could not fight his way out of a paper bag? County should be held liable for hiring wimpy cops who have to shoot people to win a fight.

Batons are "deadly weapons" against cops but an "efficient means of subduing an individual resisting arrest" for everyone else.
