One of the most heart-breaking stories was Antonio.

He was picked up on some meth charge. He said it was just residue in a baggie, but it was a felony charge.

I was there right after Antonio found out his "HIV Positive" was now AIDS. He was kind of happy, because then he could get disability, and maybe some paid care.

Antonio was a really bright kid, and thinking about him still breaks my heart.

There was Heidi... I'm still not sure of her story, but she actually had me thinking we were caught up in the same conspiracy for a bit.

There was the tattooed roommate at Mt Vernon, who was detoxing from a serious vodka dependency. Seemed a really decent guy, but he'd already lost his Wife, and probably a lot more.

I like how the meth head is what you find heart-breaking....I amost forgot, you have a felony charge from a little bit of cocain, don't you Scottie...did you feel akin to Antonio? Felon to felon?

There was Meg (I think), who I happened to catch getting the wrong (non-diabetic) trays a few times.

Mt Vernon slipped on my allergies once really badly (sent up a Bannana Nut muffin), but they were killing Meg.

I was hoping he'd have a chance to make something of his life.

I actually tried to call him several times.

Nobody else wants to work with me right now, and the kid was exceptionally bright.

Then there's Jimmy. He's English, and fascinated me.

He's convinced he has a signal that'll change everything.

I'm not convinced that he doesn't.
