I'm made of sterner stuff, so you missed this gem. Before he played a clip of a TV guy saying panties instead of pantries, Spewak noted one wonders if they read exactly what was on the teleprompter a la Anchorman. Mike piped in: "They do, some of the dumb ones do!"
You'll recall dumb Mike did that very thing on TMOS when he read a yahoo news piece, saying in the middle of it something like "click here for more info."

just listened to Thursday's show...fucking brutal...The new Nameberry bit is worse than the original throwaway...Now Mike has tried to put actual effort into it...The guy who said Spewak turned it into Baby Marshmallows nailed it

I totally understand why Mike is upset about Kevin Meaney. That could be him in three years...on the outside. There's still one thing that separates Mike from Meaney, though. I'm pretty sure Meaney could still fit into a Lyft.

Listened to...chunks of today’s show, anyway, just out of curiosity. First time listening in...months? Maybe a year?
Not as bad as I thought it’d be, actually.
Mike ribbing Robb for fetishizing celebrity deaths kinda worked. Mike being too big to get into an Uber kinda worked (his rationalization that it was about his height, not his weight, was one of his trademark self-delusional moments that always kind of passes with everyone tacitly agreeing not to poke the bear). Oscar diplomatically denying that Shannon was avoiding Creepy Uncle Mike kinda worked.
“He was the nicest man” is getting a bit trite when it comes to eulogizing Kevin Meaney, but, whatever. At least the boys had met him.
I tellya, that OscarCackle, though. Jesus. I listen to Big O and Dukes, so I hear a fair amount of Oscar, but this is the loudest, fakest, most intrusive, and most feminine Oscar laugh I’ve heard in recent memory. I assume he doesn't bust it out on BOAD because Chad and Drab would stare at him blankly before demanding, "What the fuck is that?"
Who's the chick, though, the new Girl? Girl 2.0? Is she hot?
