I love it when Mike and Robb proclaim that this version of TMOS is the best and they are having a better time than they ever had on terrestrial radio

I was an original subscriber to Don's Podcast (both RELM and the aftermath), but just as long as the RELM year played out, never re-subscribed.

Have tried to listen to the new free stream a few times over the past few months. Pretty much unlistenable to my ears now. I just don't seem to care for his content or what he has to say anymore. I'm not anti-weed, but I just can't stand to listen to "stoner talk", which is what it pretty much seems to be. Also, like Fatt Blobb, he insists on playing viral web videos wuite often (audio only). Both of the shows have live video streaming, how hard would it be to show the video on the videocast (or is there some licensing issues there?).

Anyway, much to my disbelief, I find myself liking the TMOS shitshow more than the Doni G shitshow. I hate Fatt Blobb, I hate Lazy Fatt Fuck, I hate Oscar's maniacal cackle, yet I find it a better listen. Go figure?

Yeah. He's cut it down to 2 hours now, but I still find it tedious.
Little Joe adds nothing to the show. Not funny, clever, nor quick.

Both shows suffer from "sticking to the script" too much. Probably their radio backgrounds coming to bear. Between the "segments" on TMOS, to the insistence on having an Opening Suckment, News, Audio Fault, etc... I don't need to be telling you all of this though...

Did make me wonder if maybe TMOS would be better if they didn't try to do the show daily-- there is, after all, only so much to talk about. (I think the twice weekly schedule might be one of the things that makes BOAD work.)

Mike taking a principled stand against bandwagon fandom would have been funny...if he was doing it as a self-aware riff on his frequent bandwagon fandom. But...well, you know.

It does occur to me that I generally like Mike's impressions when they're spontaneously worked into the show, as opposed to their own bit. Like, I remember the 2011 Road Trip DVD, watching Mike and Robb kinda riff with each other in the RV, and even though I didn't know some of the characters, it was fun and funny. Mike's impressions are pretty much like most other elements that work on the show, (when they do)-- the boys stumble upon them accidentally.
