Donald Sutherland I think qualifies as character actor. Only had a few lead acting movies throughout career and that was early 70's MASH Klute to mid 70's Fellini's Casanova zzzzzzzz Eye of the Needle. Dirty Dozen funny. Was he lead in Ordinary People. Haven't seen him in anything for several years. wait wait barely in Horrible Bosses

Already posted pic of Slim Pickens

Hmmm Edgar Buchanan is a good one. He was in many movies before Petticot Junction

Did you know Frank Cady is still alive!

Smiley Burnett isn't he with New Riders of the Purple Sage

Be Bederret can be seen weekday afternoons on the Antenna TV channel over the air digital sub channel 50.3. She's a co-star on the Burns and Allen show. I never cared much for Gracie Allen and I was not a big fan of George Burns. Would much more prefer the Jack Benny show.

speaking of Flipper you going to go see the latest greatest Morgan Freeman movie in which he designs a new flipper for a dolphin who lost his original in a motorboat accident. in theatres this weekend think i'll miss that one

watching this old film noir movie The Killers(from a ernest hemingway story) stars burt lancaster, ava gardner, edmond o'brien, can't think of the name of the actor who plays the lead character Cofax, i should though cause he was in a ton of movies in the 40's
Edmond O'Brien
lots of movie work starting in 40's , some lead work but later more of a character actor. after The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance seemed to mainly do tv work
died at age 70 in 1985. didn't seem to work much last 10 years of life, I guess retired

Richard Lynch, actor of horror, sci-fi films, dies
Final role was in Rob Zombie's upcoming movie, 'The Lords of Salem'
Comments (2)

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Thursday, June 21, 2012, 11:11 AM

LOS ANGELES — Richard Lynch, who employed his platinum hair and scarred face to play villainous characters in such films as “Bad Dreams” and “The Sword and the Sorcerer,” has died. He was 76.

Lynch’s representative, Mike Baronas, said the actor’s body was found Tuesday at his home in Palm Springs, Calif., by Lynch’s friend, actress Carol Vogel.

Baronas said Vogel found him on the kitchen floor, and that “from what I currently understand, no investigation into the cause of his death will be made as his body was sent directly to a funeral home.”

The actor appeared in dozens of horror and sci-fi films in a career spanning four decades. He played serial killer Michael Myers’ principal in director Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” remake in 2007.

His most recent role was in Zombie’s upcoming movie, “The Lords of Salem.”

“I woke up this morning to the news that our friend Richard Lynch has passed away,” Zombie posted Wednesday on Facebook. “Richard was great to work with and really gave it his all. I will never forget the way he scared the crap out of the kid actors in ‘Halloween.”

Other movies featuring Lynch included “Scarecrow,” “The Ninth Configuration,” “Invasion U.S.A.” and “Little Nikita.” He appeared in such TV series as “Battlestar Galactica,” “The A-Team,” “Six Feet Under” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

Lynch had said he suffered scarring in 1967 after he set himself on fire while under the influence of LSD.

who is the character jbalo who portrayed the little italian looking boy in Rebel Without Some Cause ? Who was enamored of James Dean and all these things? Why did that boy go so crazy towards the end, in the abandoned mansion? Natalie Woods had large breastings under that sweater also, and Dennis Hopper was a young buck back then. Who was the character jbalo who portrayed James Deans father? Is that the same jbalo who played Mr. Howell on Gilligan's Island?

shcecky is Giant any good? I heard it's not.

shecky has never watched "Giant" in it's entirety. bits and pieces. seemed interesting
can't explain why. hell shecky has watched "Carnival of Souls" at least 6 times.
opportunity I guess

Shecky has watched "East of Eden" with James Dean several times and does highly recommend watching that. prefer that to "Rebel Without A Cause" which I think is good film but find dated. yet the subject matter is not

sal mineo character jealous of natalie wood character and saw his love slipping away in his lonely existence so as some yutes will do he went off half cocked.

natalie wood breasts not that large. great eyes, windows to the soul and all that. her sister, lana wood, got implants in early 1970's to try and get her career off the ground. didn't work.
now those were Big'uns

Shecky, if you're still around, isn't the nazi movie with Charlotte Rampling you're talking about called The Night Porter? Co-starring Dirk Bogarde? Or was she in two nazi movies?

either way, she was HOT in The Night Porter. A concentration camp survivor getting freaky with her former SS guard? That's nasty.....filthy. She was a beautiful woman. Especially with the nazi paraphernalia on.

Decent movie.
