It was one juror on that ONE count. On all the others it was more.
The juror, Jo Ann Chiakulas, is "
a black female believed to be in her 60s, a retired state public health director who has ties to the Chicago Urban League.
She has handed out campaign literature for a relative who ran for public office.
She listens to National Public Radio and liberal talk radio shows."

There may be less here than meets the eye.
Chiakulas, whose professional career history no doubt gave her a solid education in the workings of machine politics, may have figured that Blago did nothing out of the ordinary.
Also, recall that Fitzgerald (whose ethics are a bit shady

Why?
There are very strong indications that a deal with Jesse Jackson Jr. was on the verge of coming together.

Can you imagine the reaction if, less than a month after electing Obama, the US had been faced with Jackson Jr. being indicted for buying Obama's Senate seat? Talk about popping the balloons at before the party had even started.
