Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Okay I've been wondering whether to post this or not for awhile so I'll just do it. There's a guy in my office who showers non-stop. He showers during lunch break and sometimes he leaves the office for awhile and I am almost positive he goes out to shower (I kinda followed him once).
Is this normal? He also won't go out after work without going home and showering and changing clothes. Even his FB updates are about showers, "Just had lunch, gonna hit the shower", etc. WTF?
yea your fellow worker is "cleaning" himself of the guilt he doens't hardly have for fucking you in the future. he's stealing your work and setting you up for a fall so he can get a pay raise and is hiring someone he's been fucking in your place
your welcome
no you can't sue your in fairfax and your honest. ha ha what a looser

Maybe he is just really smelly? Or maybe he has a health issue...
Tell us more about this... when and why did you follow him? Where did he go?
Well, I didn't follow him all the way. I was going to the bathroom and he was ahead of me. He skipped the bathroom and used the elevator instead. There is a gym on the ground floor of the building. I'm pretty sure he went there and showered because when he came back his hair was a little wet.
He leaves the office for awhile and I can usually tell when he goes out to shower (on top of his lunch showers).

Straight people don't give a shit about how many times another dude showers. We only care if they never shower and stink up the joint. You sir, are a Total Faaaggot!!
And you followed the dude?? You are an absolute faggola. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I think about my attractive female co-workers in the shower. I could care less what other dudes at work are doing. The dudes can bring a laptop into the office gym and work from the shower for all I care.
When you work 10 feet away from someone every day for 40 hours a week you notice lots of things about them! Not like you would know what that's like since you sit in your mom's basement all day, asshole!
Well, you've had your trial by fire with the assholes here. Serious response - the guy may have OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder). If so, he is aware of his condition and would probably be mortified to know that other people are observing - let alone tracking - his behavior. There are many manifestations of OCD. Be grateful the guy is not a hoarder (the most difficult type to treat - and the most offensive to other people). Everyone has their demons. MYOB is the best advice in this case.
BTW - contrary to popular opinion - OCD is now generally considered to be primarily a biologically based problem (amygdala and other deep brain structures - genetics may play a large part). SSRIs can help, but they generally do not eradicate the problem.
Of course, it is possible that this guy just really likes to take showers. But if he does have OCD, he should be commended for finding a way to deal with it without imposing on other people.

Yeah, maybe he sweats a lot or has unusually bad body odor. If this were the case, I doubt he'd talk about it.
