Yes they do have concerts there. They have an auditorium about the size of a movie theater. It is mostly chamber music, and other simillar type music and they get world class musicins to perform and the shows are free - only a service charge from ticketmaster. Two tickets are $7.50 total. A real bargain. They did have Roseann cash perform a couple years ago which was a really good show.
This show is a CMA Songwriters series so it features Lor Mckenna, Bret James, and little big town hosted by a songwriter named Bob Diperio I think.
I am not a country music fan, but I was speaking to the lady in charge of the concert series at the opening show of the season in September and she said this was the show to see. So I got tickets.
Check the schedule at loc.gov. Get tickets to an upcoming show and take Mrs General Lee. It is a classy event and she will probably like it. If I can attend a country music show out of cutiosity, you can attend one of these and broaden your horizon.
