Major Snowstorm Possible Next Weekend

Doubt it will all come together, but that would be awesome if it did..

"Computer models indeed have some forecasters excited about a "spin-up" along the Atlantic Seaboard starting next weekend.

Such a storm could indeed put down a zone of heavy snow over part of the mid-Atlantic and New England. However, a great deal of things would have to happen in order for this to transpire.

Even more "out there" is the suggestion that a second batch of energy would feed into the lingering storm, bringing a second round of snow (and rain) to the region."

I'd love some serious snowfall.

It looks like the snow is going to be to our north. But, since it's the first possible storm of the season, it's fun to at least talk about it.

I used to love Alexandra Steele when she was on locally here in DC. Fortunately, she's still on the Weather Channel. She can feed me the weather any day of the week. Nice!

According to AccuWx, we are going to get an inch of snow December 8th and 9th (I never trust their forecast, I just look at it for fun).

Going to see Little Big Town at the Library of Congress next Saturday so I hope it does not snow.

Is Little Big Town any good?

Yes they do have concerts there. They have an auditorium about the size of a movie theater. It is mostly chamber music, and other simillar type music and they get world class musicins to perform and the shows are free - only a service charge from ticketmaster. Two tickets are $7.50 total. A real bargain. They did have Roseann cash perform a couple years ago which was a really good show.

This show is a CMA Songwriters series so it features Lor Mckenna, Bret James, and little big town hosted by a songwriter named Bob Diperio I think.

I am not a country music fan, but I was speaking to the lady in charge of the concert series at the opening show of the season in September and she said this was the show to see. So I got tickets.

Check the schedule at loc.gov. Get tickets to an upcoming show and take Mrs General Lee. It is a classy event and she will probably like it. If I can attend a country music show out of cutiosity, you can attend one of these and broaden your horizon.

Too funny, but only because it's so close to the truth for a lot of people!

Radiophile - cool, thanks for the info. I'm sure you'll have a good time, Little Big Town is a pretty good group, though I've never seen them in concert.
