in the 70's and 80's some blacks and whites were less "race card paranoid"
you didn't hear many blacks in fairfax say a word about racism - only a few that were DC implants were "that way"
in the 70's DC blacks hated education and were (mostly) illiterate and on drugs alcohol
however there was ALLOT of optimism in the "peace" 70's and 80's that salt and pepper was going to go down "without a hitch" or an anchor. it took 20 years for things to start rolling
and here we are in 20teens, with race cards in almost every political debate!
