Abduction/Malicious Wounding in Lorton
West Springfield Police District – Police have charged a 40-year-old man with the abduction and malicious wounding as the result of an incident that took place on a path near Furnace Road and Lorton Road on Monday, October 26 shortly after 11 a.m. A 52-year-old woman was walking on a trail on the grounds behind the former Lorton Prison, now owned by Fairfax County. A man approached her from behind, forced her to the ground and then punched her numerous times in the head and face. The victim struggled and eventually fended off her attacker. She sustained non life-threatening injuries.
The subsequent investigation led to the identification and arrest of Milan Boda, of 8238 Burning Forest Court in Springfield. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with abduction and malicious wounding.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed this attack, or from anyone who might have been the victim of a similar attack in the same area.
