So read the above and see if you can find the grammatical error. Each child is challenged to be independent thinkers? How about "an independent thinker, problem solver and caring, contributing citizen." SINGULAR.
I retired from this school just in time. The new principal is no better than the old bully that was the principal. The new principal posted a Back to School Powerpoint on Youtube that is full of errors, too. The woman does not know how to write. For example, on the Youtube video, the slide says, "This is a voiced over Power Point, for those parents interested in hearing more about our changes." Powerpoint is usually written in one word. There is no need for a comma after the word "Point".
At minute 14:48 on the Youtube video it says, "Recess Circles will continue all year, they ask the students to reflect on recess" etc. Besides the fact that the whole idea of making kids stand in a circle after recess is silly, the sentence should not have a comma. It is a run-on. It should be two sentences. How can a circle ask anything? I have never met a circle that could speak.
At 19:00 on the video, it says, in regards to staffing changes, that "this results in a teachers loss here at SL." What does that mean? Where is the apostrophe to show ownership? Or was a teacher actually lost on the property? Or was a teacher position lost, resulting in larger classes? Then why are there two instructional coaches? How about reducing class size by getting rid of the coaches and hiring classroom teachers? Some classes have 28 or 29 students.
At 22:51 it says, in regards to lunch, that students were sitting by themselves everyday. Every day is written with TWO words.
How can someone with a doctorate write like this? How can someone who writes like this get hired to be a principal?
