I'd be curious - based on the information in this article it appears that in many states, women don't even have access to rape test kits: http://www.feministing.com/archives/009877.html And of the rapes that did occur in Alaska, I wonder how many of the cities and towns did charge for them... They seem to want to take small facts (like the fact that the police chief of Wasilla was the one upset

You have stated you don't agree with me and then challenge me to post things to refute your disagreement. Show me Obama was grilled on these issues in MSM and then you will make your point and refute mine.

I have posted many links supporting what I have said in other threads. I try not to post from obviously partisan sites (from either aisle). McCain wasn't 5th from the bottom because he was stupid. Also it is hard to post anything supporting my points about Obama and the MSM since they obviously didn't do it - and I don't want to post a link to anything you will cry foul on. Your argument about

Bill Clinton is a very smart man - and yet the folks he surrounded himself with in his administration were a bunch of "yes men" (and women). To that end he came across as someone who was really in touch with all the issues, but you never heard anyone in his administration say much of anything other than the party line. This became a liability later in his administration when he evidently lied to

There is nothing mean spirited about European whites. What a crock. I could go into a dissertation on where the practice of slavery started, and why it was practiced, and what it meant when started, but I won't. Also, the thought that somehow ALL white people are mean spirited to people of other races is yet another broad-term racist comment that has been promoted by the democrats for years to k

In nutshell - I don't believe in Socialism or Communism. I don't entirely agree with unchecked Capitalism either, but I don't think the Federal Government should get so much of our money, and spend so much of it, that we end up beholden to the hand that feeds us. The other night in the forum that McCain and Obama were at, Obama certainly sounded very smooth, but he and McCain couldn't have been

Back then Congress wasn't in session all year long, and most of them were farmers in their "normal" life. A few were lawyers and the like, but most were concerned with survival, and how to make sure the country was going to survive and grow. Today we see some of the worst abuses they were trying to get away from when they left Europe - religious persecution (secularist vs almost ANY religion tod

First off, I don't have a bone in the abortion race (being a male). I can have a personal opinion on it, but personally, I don't think anyone involved in creating any legislation, or making any legal decision on something regarding abortion should be anyone but a woman. I was talking about global warming - and a fairly ridiculous decision based on a legal ruling in the UK (what is up with that?)

So Obama decides to attack McCain on not being able to use a computer: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9359KL80&show_article=1 Ah yes, let's watch as they run smack into reality: http://graphics.boston.com/news/politics/campaign2000/news/McCain_character_loyal_to_a_fault+.shtml (it is a ways down in the article but): Quote McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families

So, now the Dems are noting they are going to lose because Sarah Palin is dumber than Obama and Biden. This post came from The Huffington Post btw - Tony Sachs. Always good to attribute when you take someone else's quotes and post them. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tony-sachs/sarah-palin-the-bush-doct_b_125852.html I take issue with the part about Joe Biden. If he had said it they would have e

It has been well documented that while McCain won the nomination, there was not a lot of excitement for his selection, other than by the middle of the road folks he appealed to. If he had selected Joe Lieberman for his running mate he would have lost for sure because he would have lost a lot of the Republican base - they probably would have gone and voted for Bob Barr or something. A big part of

What was the point of her statement other than to bring racism into the discussion? None. Her point was stupid. Americans didn't go through a Civil War and endless years of internal strife to hammer out amendments and Civil Rights laws just because they thought it was fun. Her statement is just another example of the Reverend Wright mentality running around in the minds of ignorant people that wa

You know why folks are happy about seeing Sarah Palin as VP? They see her as an obvious successor to McCain when he leaves office (whenever that is - and based on his mother, he will probably serve out two full terms if re-elected). By that time, Palin will be more than qualified, if McCain does poorly, then maybe not. At the same time, it will give Obama another 4 years to prove himself. Assumi

Yes, us shooting missiles into countries always comes across as arrogant. I totally agree. But this is not the first time we have done it. The precedent for these attacks was probably even set before Clinton did it.

No, we were talking about the US firing missiles into Pakistan and somehow that was a bad thing. I was just pointing out Clinton using similar logic.

Yes, since the Democrats were the ones that held to slavery, her point was um... pointless. and tactless. Even Walters was kind of at a loss on how to proceed after that, and she even made a comment about "us white folk..." Whoopi threw everyone off.

Again, why this fixation on Palin? Obama is running against McCain. The sad part here is, even Hillary noted how Obama was not being questioned by the press on anything of importance. Now that she "backs" Obama, she is not speaking out against Sarah Palin - and you wonder why. I notice.. no wait I don't... Joe Biden is like the silent partner in the background. Well, at least you all wish he wo

The two provinces in question are STILL part of Georgia, regardless of ONLY Russia recognizing them. Russia has been occupying these two provinces for quite a while (as peacekeepers no less), even though the rest of the world recognizes Georgia as an independent country. The details of who exactly started what are still coming out on this, so it is hard to say who started what - but I can be pre
