I have to say, I don't agree with checkpoints. I think they are a complete waste of time and resources. If they really wanted to use checkpoints appropriately, they would put them in much more strategic locations. In the last two results it took 8 officers to catch one person for DWI in the Sully District, and 8 officers to catch one person in Mount Vernon. Absolutely pathetic. Not sure if t

I can't stand Aerosmith...but, somehow in between Tyler's stints in rehab, they seem to pull it together. Rock band to pop band...vomit. Projectile diarhhea. Burning sensation when I pee. Just for a lil balance for all the haters...I'll throw a band I can't get enough of...The Black Keys.

I'm with RP on the military angle. Just make sure you sign up for the GI Bill. You can get alot out of the military. Given, you are going to do some shit jobs, but, you get what you want out of it. Depending on the branch, you could get some cool travel out of it, shoot some terrorists, be a pilot and probably clean several shitters along the way. Don't forget about the potential leadership

Saw an older 3-series BMW with one built in once. Very low-tech in dash switch with the radar somewhere in the grill. I wonder how much revenue they get out of illegal radar detector tickets? Is it worth more to the state to keep this law intact? Obviously, it only affects out of staters. Who, I'm happy to have help keep our coffers full. I would hazard a guess that if you get pulled over w

+1 for the Heavy Metal Parking Lot pics. My favorite might be the third pic down where the guy in the white sleeveless shirt admits to being 20, and the girl 13. Quickly thereafter, they start makin' out like the plane is going down. Just can't be pure PWT. What a great flic.

I would typically agree with that, but the Shoppers in Centreville, of all places, has renovated and is actually pleasant. I'm sure higher prices will follow.

People, be happy with the relatively cheap easy solutions they have come up with in that corridor of 28 from Westfields to 66. How easily we forget the days of being able to cross 28 at Walney and New Braddock. Much better these days. pgens is right, eliminating the ECL park stoplight would do nothing for delays. Problem is, the whole design of the 28 and 66 instersection was short sighted.

Just saw them a couple of weeks ago at Iota. Still sound good. Unfortunately, all of the girls who were somewhat hot that used to go to the shows, have all married and starting poppin' out babies, and well, have started down that slope of no return. Needless to say, the talent level isn't quite where it used to be.

The one time I give a sympathy chuckle for tourists...when parents/chaperones bring a classful of income suckers and they are standing in line trying either to get a ticket for each kid, or are in line at the turnstile trying to get the kids through one at a time. Meanwhile, all the regular metro riders are shooting death glares at the adults. The looks on those adults faces...priceless. It's

Agreed to that. Credit it due. As much as that sickens me to say that. I'd love to see baseball institute a salary cap. I know some teams have breakout seasons that have lower payrolls, but I have to say, I think the lack of a cap hurts the league as a whole. It would be way more competitive and have more parity. I like the fact that every year in the NFL teams have a real chance at winni

Take a look at the facebook page supporting Skylar Schnippel. Apparently there is a girl on there, I believe "Christina Shephard" or something like that who appears to be his girlfriend. I couldn't help but think, that would almost be like my daughter dating OJ...almost.

I know reading from a story in the WashPost from Warren Brown, that he was on the hook for his vehicle running red light and he got a nice notice in the mail. He mentioned that he thought about not paying it, but found out that the ticket would be sent to a collections agency. There are may more nuances to his particular story, but it sounds like they bring your credit rating into the fold, a
