OK, I'm all in on support for law enforcement, but don't get it twisted. They don't "keep us safe." They do very little to -prevent- crime -- their job is to come along after the fact and hold someone accountable.

Tipping is always a personal choice, and no need to feel bad for not tipping when pressured to, especially at a counter situation. That said, someone mentioned coffee shops, and I think that's the exception. Maybe not Starbucks, but indie coffee shops, absolutely I'll tip them. I can afford it, and they clearly need it, or else they might have to get a REAL job.
