The little poles are not dangerous for bikers. They should be stopping at roads anyway. There is always a stop sign where the trail meets the road. Cars repeatedly turn off of Maple Avenue onto the Bike trail going East. I've seen it happen 4 times now. The Town of Vienna and the W&OD Trail need to do a better job of putting up the poles to keep the cars off the trail.

Fairfax Honda's Service Department can't be as bad as Fairfax Volvo, and I think they are affiliated. I took my Volvo in for routine maintenance and annual inspection and they cracked the front window. They refused to pay for fixing it. Wanted to charge me $500.00 for it. I've never been back. Stay away from Fairfax Volvo. Stay away from Volvo; they are now owned by China.

I have jogged on the W&OD Trail at night between Vienna and Hunter Mill Road. Twice I have had a deer jump right out in front of me, and I was wearing a blinking light. Good luck when you drive into that deer and fall 15 feet off the side of the trail. That could be exciting. If you fall into the creek beside the trail, at least you won't start a fire with your motorized bike.
