That trick used to work back in the day, but now with the OBD2 scanner and it being relayed electronically to DMV, its hard to get past it. Cats are pretty cheap online, pay the $100 and get it legit, go pass emissions, then take it back off if you want. Or go register in Stafford/Spotsylvania or further south where you don't need emissions!

Bent tree is pretty nice, but why pay $1300/month for a small 1 bedroom when there are lots of 2-3 bedroom condos/townhouses being rented out for about the same? Check homesdatabase, realtor.com, craigslist, etc and look around- bet you can find more space for your money!
