Some dude across the street from me got his fingers/hand (I don't remember which) chopped off 'cause he was attacked by some MS-13 guys. But he wasn't an innocent victim, he was in another gang, SSL (South Side Locos). By the way, I live in Alexandria (not the City, the one in Fairfax).
