By more than 2-1, 63%-29%, those surveyed say Romney's background in business, including his tenure at the private equity firm Bain Capital, would cause him to make good decisions, not bad ones, in dealing with the nation's economic problems over the next four years.
The findings raise questions about Obama's strategy of targeting Bain's record in outsourcing jobs and hammering Romney for refusing to commit to releasing more than two years of his tax returns. Instead, Americans seem focused on the economy, where disappointment with the fragile recovery and the 8.2% unemployment rate are costing the president.

Polls about who you are going to vote for can slant 5% or so in one direction and have an entirely different meaning...
This is a poll about competence and economics- and even if these polls had a margin of error of 15%, the general consensus of the American public is that Romney is a competent business guy and Obama is a "community organizer".

When Obama's economic policies are "Daddy Uncle Sam is going to take care of your every want and need," you are going to get at least some solid percentage that will support you.

Obama fucked up by pushing for ObamaCare when the economy was in the toilet. Nothing worse for the economic mood of the nation than to force through a confusing POS legislation that leaves everyone guessing what this or that interprettion means.
Obama also fucked up with the so-called "stimulus". The stimulus has had an opposite effect of it's stated purpose- it was supposed to hold unemployment under 8% and instead it rose to 10%.
Anyone who thinks Obama is doing any kind of good job is delusional.

So let us review what Obama inherited when he came into office. The economy was in the tank along with the housing market. We were in a war that only Cheney and Bush wanted considering how they stretched the truth to get the US involved.
Now come forward 3 1/2 years. The housing is for sure in an upswing. We are getting our troops out of a war that should never been started. After we cut the cost of the useless war the economy isn't so bad.
I see things much better then they were before Obama was elected. I for one don't want to relive what the Cheney/Bush admin did for this country and will vote Obama in November.

I want to hear something positive that has come or will come from a GOP ticket. Not dumping negative comments on the current administration. I know I asking way too much but worth mentioning. I wouldn't count on the next four years being the same as the last four years under Bush. Remember that the unemployment rate didn't start to decline till 2004 under Bush, much later than under Obama. The recovery is about the same length of time now as it was under Bush, and the unemployment rate has declined about the same level of around 1.8 percentage points. The economy is due for a recession in the next two years.

The blame Bush wagon lost it's wheels. Please look up the Community Reinvestment act. A program started, revamped a few times and pushed heavily by democrats, specifically Dodd and Frank. That is the main reason for the housing crash and a large part of what caused the so-called crash of 2008. Democrats had the house and senate at that point since 2006 and Bush was a lame duck during that period.

The housing market standards were lowered and they gave money to people to buy houses that couldn't afford them ..that's why we're in this mess. Remember ?
