Auto Insurance Commercials

WTF is going on with television ads for auto insurance?

There was a time a couple years back when every commercial break featured some form of GEICO ad. Thankfully, these ads have reduced in number recently.

However, now there seems to be a proliferation of other companies with equally annoying ads. Just now, in one extended commercial break there was a GEICO ad, then Allstate, then Progressive, then Century 21, then Farmer's and finally an eSurance advertisement (which is now technically Allstate too).

Go back five years and you would only rarely see an auto insurance ad on TV. Now you can't turn on the TV without seeing one.

I miss the old esurance tv commercials before Allstate bought out esurance and went to boring generic commercials and yet Allstate has the great "Mayhem" campaign

I thought the techie bitch was cute in her bitchy dykie way, no lips, big blue eyes and a hint of a bosom hidden under the big maroon shirt anyone got pics of her in bikini?

I also think State Farm killed off the Jerry Newman calls agent Jessica commercials way too soon

seems like always been a lot of uinsurance commercials during sporting events on tvv
hell there better than another catheter commercial or a bathtub conversion or diabetes blood sugar meter for free with medicare commercial

The new Esurance ads with the VoiceOver of Jim from The Office really suck. Talk about zero effort at creativity.

If you ever switch on the evening network news during the 6 o'clock hour, they play back-to-back drug commercials. You know the ones -- where they tell you about the benefits for two seconds and then list the possible side effects for the next 28 seconds of the commercial.

My favorite drug commercial is Androgel 1.62% where one of the possible side effects is "early puberty in children in the home" -- like the shit is so powerful it will leap across the room and get your kids too.

I think Abilify is the one that can cause diabetes or kill you. Just to supplement your anti-depressant. Really? Diabetes or death?

That's because the only people who bother to watch news on TV are old people, who are the target audience of drug companies.

It'll cure your ED, but side effects include: shortness of breath, hair loss, jock itch, blindness, spinal nerve degeneration, AIDS, and certain types of drug resistant cancers. Ask your doctor if ________ is right for you.
