College is one thing the pros is another.

Andre Ware – Ware was one of the best college quarterback in his generation. He was the first black quarterback and first player from the University of Houston to win the Heisman in 1989. He also won the Davey O’Brien award for most outstanding college quarterback in his junior year before declaring for the NFL draft, he threw for 4699 yard, 46 touchdowns both for NCAA records. In fact, he set 26 new NCAA records in his collegiate career. His expertise in the run and shoot offense vaulted the Cougars to finish 14th overall in the nation.

The Detroit Lions drafted Ware seventh overall in the 1990 draft where he never really panned out. He threw for 1,112 yards, five touchdowns, eight interceptions and barely completing 50 percent of his passes. His tenure with the Lions ended in 1993 where he would serve out his remaining NFL stints with the Los Angeles Raiders in 1994 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995 before going to the Canadian Football League

Most first round QB picks are busts, but most HoF QBs were first round picks. Live by the draft; die by the draft.

Nats will make the playoffs. Skins won't.

And we all know that drinking is WAY more fun.

Hence, football > baseball (otherwise known as yawnfest)

Sure have. Do the names Matt Leinart, Vince Young, Troy Smith, David Carr, and Jimmy Clausen ring a bell?

This is all they've talked about on the FAN today.

And just like here....it turns into Redskins this and that and what Washington baseball team? every time.

Considering it's been 21 years since they went to a Superbowl, it's amazing at how stupid the paying public is. Snyder is going to fuck up RGIII just like ever other player he's brought in. They're going to lose........again and people will still line up to buy tickets.

I have placed a curse on the team and the Stadium "FedExField". Think about it. How has the Washington Redskins played and ranked since I died? Not good, right? Not really even OK. Someone left behind in my entourage will have to figure out how to lift the curse after they figure out that there is a curse. GOOD LUCK!

Someone at the Skins is so confident about RGIII that they brought Cousins in. The question is, who? And what does that mean for the team? I don't thinks it's good.

DC has never been a baseball town because with the exception of a few of the Walter Johnson years, it's never had a good baseball team (until now). Give DC a team like the Braves were in the 90s or Cincy in the 70s and DC will be a baseball town.

Dear Jack,

You had hopes that your son and namesake would take over your team upon your demise. Sorry, his love of boats and money was far greater that your love of the team. He sold the team down the river and hid his money in Bermuda. Only rearing his pointy little head long enough to sign the papers when the league decided on the new owner.

A new owner I might add that wasn't the best choice. He wasn't even in the running until the front runner was found to be slightly litigious. Snyder was simply next in line when Milstein got kicked to the curb.

All Snyder has done with your team since is make money. Fleece (and sue) fans putting a sub-par team on the field, Sell the air around the stadium if he could.

Oh yeah, and fire everyone that ever worked for you.

Perhaps had you brought Ralph into the organization and put Capt. Ahab in charge of the communication satellites, Ralph wouldn't have dropped dead and the team would still be in the family.

And the team wouldn't have been raided by a two time loser (of millions and millions of other people's money) with a Napoleon Bonaparte complex.

Yours fondly,

Millions of former fans

Not a baseball town for two reasons. One was the long drought before we got another team. Reason two we had the Senators who were terrible. Playing games against AL teams has helped the Nats. Before you had to go to Baltimore and watch an orioles game to see the top talent in the AL.

People will come around once they realize the Nats are the real deal. Washington sports fans have seen season after season of promises and failures by the Redskins, Wizards and Caps. I think they just dont want to be disappointed if the Nats start to slide.

I go to the games, nice stadium and great crowds but I will admit a lack of enthusiasm on the part of most of the fans.

For the same price for two tickets to the Skins or Caps, I can take the whole family to a Nats game and eat and drink some beer. On slow nights, you can slip an usher a $20 and get prime seats, too. And you don't have many, if any, obnoxiously drunk fans at a Nats game. It's a win, win, win.

They certainly do, but they played football. The OP claimed RGIII has never played football.

Remember me Mr. Cook? I am a fat, washed up radio guy who used to kiss your wrinkled white ass like it was made out of cotton candy.

Well Hello there Domingoooo, long time no see. You really should get busy to figure out what the curse is and fix it. I figured since you kissed my ass like it was cotton candy when I was alive, you can surely take one more for the team and kiss someone else's ass to get this fixed. All of Washington and the NFL will look to you as a HERO. Now PLEASE, get to kissin!!!!! Maybe we can win some games and make it the Super Bowl again. Oh, and please get Joe Gibbs back, I don't care how much we need to spend of Danny's money, JUST GET IT DONE!!!

I'd rather get drunk and watch the Cowboys kick the Redskins ass then sit at a baseball game for 3(to God knows how many hours if there's overtime) w/a bunch of middle aged men w/baseball gloves on and a ticket that says it's my fault for coming in if a ball hits me.

And what are they "thinking" about? Does it really take LESS talent to kick a ball through a goal post at 45yards than to hit a ball you've swung at 3-??? times? They only get 1 field goal attemp, not 3 and however many fouls, etc...

BTW, DC may be a baseball town if they win a World Series, but they'll forget in a yr or two. Always do.
