Tell you the truth,I've yet to meet a white person who doesn't claim some Indian ancestry.

Do most white people you've met list themselves in a professional directory as having Indian ancestry? lol

Yet, I've never met a single one. I've known real Indians, including having been on reservations, but the only person clearly not 100% Indian American that I've met who claimed ancestry was a black kid (Knowing him, he most likely wasn't lying either).

You need to get out more often. Lots of folks from Kentucky, Tennessee,
the Carolinas, Georgia, and even Ohio have Indian blood. You just don't
realize.

These issues can be tricky as to who can claim which race.

Usually Cherokee...a great-great-grandma who was a Cherokee princess.

A lot of whites claim Indian blood because of the "noble savage" image, also because of the advantages of being part of a minority run business. A friend of mine works for a business that uses Eskimos (Intuits) as a figureheads. That's a lot of tax breaks.

She is at least one thirty second Cherokee, and probably her Native American percentage is a little higher because she also has some Delaware Indian heritage as well. The current Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, Bill John Baker, is also one thirty second Cherokee. Non story.

There is no proof of her Native American heritage. IF there was, Elizabeth Warren would have it plastered all over the place to humiliate Scott Brown.

According to some reports, the ancestor that Warren clained as a Cherokee actually was a white participant in the cruel round-up and forced exodus of Cherokees in the infamous "Trail of Tears"

http://bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view/20220509liz_brushes_off_trail_of_tears_report

First she snakes some favors with a phony affirmative action stunt, then she blames critics as being "anti-female'.

Twats like her are the worst that politics have to offer.

Whether one is American Indian or not is, legally speaking, very clear.

In order to receive the benefits of the status, you have to be accepted as a member by an Indian tribe. Simple as that.

If you belong to an Indian tribe, you're an Indian. If you don't, you're not

And up to now, no Indian tribe seems ever to have heard of Elizabeth Warren.

If Elizabeth Warren is an enrolled member of one of the Cherokee Nations then she is legally entitled to claim minority status.

If she is not on the membership roll of the Cherokee Nation, she should not have claimed to be Cherokee for purposes of her academic legal career.

We're not talking about a romantic schoolgirl or an elderly genealogy enthusiast here, we're talking about a Harvard law professor.

It's not a really complicated legal question for a Harvard law professor to get right.

Christopher Child of the New England Historic and Genealogy Society obtained a document dated 1894 that has confirmed Warren's great-great-great grandmother was indeed a Cherokee. That would make Warren 1/32 American Indian.

My grandmother was full blooded Cherokee and never belonged to a tribe.
My 2nd cousins who live in Tennessee and Ohio are also full blooded and
have never belonged to a tribe. Does that mean they aren't Cherokee?

You are clearly misrepresenting the contents of the document. Why hasn't the Warren campaign produced the document?

Did your grandmother and cousins try to take advantage of that by claiming it for hiring priority and career advancement? lol

If you know that much then you should know that Native Americans are VERY particular about who is considered as such and tribal affiliations. They're harder on abuse of that kind of stuff than anyone.

The Society has disavowed Child's claim since there is no copy or photographic copy of the alleged document. http://www.masslive.com/politics/index.ssf/2012/05/massachusetts_gop_launches_web.html

The document in question is the marriage license for the son of Warren's great-great-great grandmother. The book containing the marriage entry has been found, and does not indicate any ties to any Native American tribe.

Was Child the one who "just happened" to also be a contributor to her campaign or was that somebody else?

This is really a lot of hoopla over nothing. What nationality are you? How do you know? Did your parents tell you? Have you ever looked that up to verify it?

Fact is Warren was told by her parents she had Cherokee heritage. She put it down on some of her CV shit 20 years ago. She really hasn't done much with it since. There is more evidence that Mitt Romney is related to an illegal immigrant from Mexico, so why aren't Republicans as outraged about that?

They are all too grief stricken over the abuse of powers exercised when Obama's illegal alien aunt was located then shuffled to the head of the line in the witness protection program.

Of course you would say that. It is about a Democrat. If the story was about a Republican, then it would be something.

> What nationality are you?

Don't know, don't care and I have never used my nationality to further my career. See the difference?

> How do you know?

I don't know and I don't care. Ms. Warren, on the other hand may have fraudulently claimed this heritage to further her career. See the difference?

> Did your parents tell you?

Nope.

Nope, but I have never made it an issue central to my career or used it for career advancement.

Except become a lauded minority hire.

Because that story has been vetted and debunked with facts. You know, facts.... nevermind, you don't want to know facts.

You do realize, that there are numerous American citizens who have never stepped foot in America. George Romney was one of those until age 5.

Yeah, but then a very suspect and obviously coordinated story about Romney "bullying" some kid from the same timeframe is a front page center article in the Post! lol

Not knowing, I don't list myself in a professional directory as being of some specific minority group. And as far as I know Romney's never claimed Hispanic status to get some preferential treatment nor has he hidden his background.

No they have not tried to use it to their advantage. The
Tennessee cousins are farmers who own their own land and
the Ohio cousins work in the steel industry. There was
never a need. Yes, they've assimilated and don't wear
Cherokee clothing or run around trying to act "Indian".
Under the "one drop rule" I could have taken advantage
but chose not to.

I think you missed the point. lol

Anyway... You and your family have about 32X more integrity than does Ms. Warren.
