Both Don and Mike are charging what they feel the market will bear. Both of these fucks are extremely insecure and petty. Don makes tons more because he's driven to succeed. LFF is, well, LFF. It also seems like Don runs a lean business from a personnel and equipment standpoint. LFF has to split the pie 3-4 ways and pay for more infrastructure (enough bad gear for multiple studios, etc). Mister Hip Replacement couldn't do several hours a day solo to save his life.

The 062116 Don Geronimo podcast is fucking gold. Skip to the 35-40 minute mark. He first gets into the whole buying Mike a trip to the masters. He was relatively careful not to outright call Mike a piece of shit, but it was heavily implied. Said he'd never accept a gift from his listeners. Said that the gift was 20 years of loyalty which allowed them to make over 2 million dollars a year.

It got really interesting when he started talking about Robb. A lot of the things we've said here are apparently true. Don asked Robb at one point why he doesn't talk to him anymore and Robb said it was because of the show. Said Robb chose Mike's show over their friendship and it was never a real friendship. Robb just used him becuase he was a way to make Robb money. Don paid for Robb's insurance and helped him out with other bills.

Great breakdown, dude. If you're new, kudos for participating in a meaningful way.

To the point, it's obvious that Robb is a groveling grasper who should've been able to at least somewhat maintain both relationships, but wasn't principled or good enough to do so. He's a special case - Jormand has established that.

I noticed that too, but left it unmentioned because my testicles and my brain gave me a perfectly normal delusion that if I didn't mention the obvious, I might some day magically kinda sorta be able to tap that. D&M was the Cadillac of radio talk shows. TMOS is the same car, only fucked out after years of no maintenance. It has no steering wheel, so as long as it's traveling on a straight road, it's serviceable. It's also out of gas, but there's a bunch of klubbers and a lonely heiress pushing it up a steep hill.

Jormand, you've said a few times now that Spewak is a backstabber. Can you give some examples? Not like you have anything to lose at this point by speaking up since you're in a completely different industry now.

I know this site is labelled a "hate site" but it's definitely not as bad as it was while the show was on. You'll probably have a few people try to fight with you but I think you'll find there'll be some honest conversations too.

One thing you have in common with everyone here. We all hate Spewak. And we don't even know a percentage of the things you do.
