Ditto to the esteemed critics' posts above. More than ever, it seems TMOS steers clear of the easiest and most fertile comedy ground, i.e., Spewak's foibles and shortcomings, does little show prep of any value, and so the show is generally blah. So blah we can't muster much in the way of humorous commentary. Mike is such a terrible interviewer in the rare event he has a guest. Today, he's got Marc Fisher, who not only did the fake Trump PR story that broke last week, he's doing a Trump bio (with The Donald's cooperation) coming out in a few months, and he can't ask or get anything interesting? Mon dieu.

I said it first, they're making the show suck so bad so we'll have nothing to mock. And it's working!
But when your constituency is this easily amused what can we do?

I was late to the podcast. Fortunately, Mike did a reset about 10 minutes in, so I was able to catch up.

You say amused, I say aroused. Kind of explains the dog-fucking.

You can never have enough Todd Hess, except he's so busy with his charity dog-fucking he challenges people to fights and then doesn't show up. 18th and Pennsylvania NW motherfucker! We haven't forgotten.

BIG NEWS! DCRTV style everybodyyyy

O'Meara Interviews Fisher About Trump - 5/16 - "The Mike O'Meara Show" interviews Marc Fisher, senior editor of the Washington Post. The DC radio great and his discussed a recently released tape of presidential candidate Donald Trump masquerading as his own publicist in 1991 to brag about himself. While the source of the tape remains anonymous, Fisher denied that the tape came from Trump. The interview can be heard at mikeomearashow.com.....

Aaaah! Mike and Fisher have really exposed Trump this time! 28 years ago Trump pretended to be someone else to a People interviewer. No proof, no journalistic check on the real John Miller and no one will admit they got the tape from Hillary. But a real estate developer DID do a fake voice ...nailed him!

What was Mike doing 28 years ago? He and Don were calling people on the air and he was pretending to be Larry King

Fisher stated that this was common knowledge amoung reporters for years. The only new addition to the story is the acquisition of the tapes.
Today, Trump is running for president. And Mike is pretending to be Larry King and calling Oscar's out-of-towner mother.

Like a rubbernecker looking at a hideous car accident, I’m fascinated by the Colitis & Chlamydia podcast. The unnecessary commercial breaks inserted solely to allow Eightt to play his jingles. The redundant but always hilarious utterances by Eightt (you don’t look blu-ish, two-ish, flu-ish, etc; CARRR, BARRR). The Rico Suave flirting by Eightt toward Jaws. The fascinating segments about Jaws’ dogs, complete with her voicing of the dogs in a cartoon voice. The stimulating discussions between two people who have virtually nothing going on in their lives. I can’t get enough of that sweet stuff. No bodybag on the highway grabs my attention like this hot mess.

El Spic raised the specter of fat as the culprit in underarm rash. Fatt Rob said they had danced around it or whatever. Contrary to what Fuckwaddle said last week I don't think "a lot of guys deal with this". I think he's got a fungus and should get OTC medication for it. Then El Spic talked about people whose thighs get chafed because they run so much. It's not how much they run, it's because they're porkers.

Sounds like El Spic is learning the downside of the live-in whore: she doesn't do everything the way you didn't tell her to do when you move house. How much stuff did they have in the old place that opening all the boxes is a big deal? They're going to have to do it eventually. Fuck that guy. Oh, nevermind, that position is filled.

And if La Puta del Spic is paying more in taxes than she earns she's really doing something wrong. In fact it's not possible. I suspect El Spic is telling El Lie.

Mike is crowing about his interview with "newsmaker" Fisher.

Fisher is NOT a newsmaker; he's a reporter. Reporters report the news, they don't make it. The story is Trump; no one gives a crap about Fisher except Mike.

Mike should get his money back from AU.

Mike is to journalism like Oscar is to high finance.

All good points. As I recall, Fisher wrote about Don&Mike not about the radio/podcast afterbirth that is Mike O'Meara but Fuckwaddle managed to make it all about him.

If you ran AU would you want MC FWaddle saying he went there? He could make easy money by offering to keep the connection on the downlow.

El Spic on the other hand has been in a major article on the front page of the inside of the business section in the national Washington Post about how stupid he is when it comes to hiring consultants. Oh, wait, maybe he could get the same deal.

I think you're being a little hard on afterbirth. People have found several practical uses for placenta.

Regarding hush money, Robb should be able to wring a bunch out of Weight Not. But that might require some effort on his part.

Maybe the gang can land an interview with newsmaker Buzz Burbank. His old man stories have got to be better than Mike's old man stories. Neither one of them likes kids, but at least Buzz is honest about it.

That's a very good point, I just wanted to swap something in for my usual "abortion" but more concise than "radio kept-in-tupperware-for-a-month-and-a-half afterbirth".

I blame Big Tupper.

I noticed today that unlike Fatt Rob, Pony offers his assent where a normal human would do so, and not in such a way as to derail the discussion or ruin the show. I see him as the next underling to surpass Fatt Rob in a spectacular, comet-like fashion.

I don't understand why this has been glossed over on TMOS and BOAD. LOLscar is writing checks his bank account literally cannot cash, with no real prospects on the horizon. This seems like the kind of thing that shouldn't get a free pass.

I'm guessing that Marc Fisher was supposed to be an in-studio guest but he turned into a phoner. That's why the collars were worn on Monday...they wanted to make an impression. But back off on poking fun at Spewak's attire, please. The man has introduced a brand new t-shirt into his professional wardrobe rotation. And look at him getting his exercise by drinking that water. Fuck yeah. He'll be beating the ladies off with a stick this summer!

First Mike whines about the lack of callers, then cuts them off when they actually have something interesting to say

Tom Hanks diabetes
Spewak says he doesn't have diabetes, despite family history (anything else, Robbie?) and he's tested on a yearly basis.
Oscar: "Let's go bi-annually."

Exceptionally unflattering moments in TMOS (part 1 in a series):

Two examples back-to-back in #1514:

(paraphrased)

Oscar: I work three jobs.

Mike: What are the three jobs?

Oscar: This, school, and moving my house.

This sounds like essentially no jobs. You're self-employed and living off of dodgy Amazon affiliate handouts and t-shirt sales, which is cool (and of course there's Tech 411k or whatever). However, school is not a job. You're paying them; in fact, you're getting taken for a ride, because you could have learned the same content by buying "Contracts for Dummies" and "Sole Proprietorship for Dummies". Networking? Your fellow students can't stand your balding misogynistic ass. Moving into a house purchased by your father (falsely represented to the bank as enabled by your nonexistent assets?) is also not a job, it's a... humiliation? Better collect that rent every month and try not to think of the dad who was never there.

Plus:

Oscar: "...I and my family are making all of this work."

Robb: "Me and my family."

(later)

Rob: "Or maybe I and my family."

The premier example of Fatt assuming he knows far more than he does. Hypercorrective Blubb, you don't know shit. It almost makes me feel sad about the day when reality finally dawns on you.

No, truth is I was reflexively attacking Mike. It annoys me when he trots out the most cliched political stances like he's deep. Remember when he told Oscar, "you probably don't know a third of my political opinions"? The show's big interviews with newsmakers are Chuck Todd and Marc Fisher; a host and an editor.

LFF's such a hack he makes me actually defend Trump.

Wouldn't it be "my family and I"? I'm not an English major but I think it has to do with which words follow other words. At least I'm smart enough to know I'm not smart enough to be sure.
But anyway, yes perhaps Robb is at 6x and I was thinking it would be pretty funny to have the chick intern slip it on as a dress around her waist. Sew the sleeve ends up and you got two good pockets!
Seriously though, that pic of Robb shows how fatt he's become. His face just bulges with his expressions because the fatt has nowhere to go. Hey I've got bad habits too, but I do try to keep them in check.

The word order doesn't matter, but your version certainly sounds better but probably because it's more common.

If Fatt Rob thinks his weight is okay, he probably does believe the charm thing. After all he's a solid 8.

Say it as if you're the only one doing it, and the one that's correct will be obvious:

I am making all of this work...
vs.
Me am making all of this work...

Then you always put yourself last:

My family and I are making all of this work...

I was pretty surprised Eightt got it wrong. Seems like it would be the kind of grammar rule he would love to lord over people. Then again, he still says, "I seen it!" without any apparent irony.

Yes, I was aware that you use "I" in that situation and, as you've confirmed, I had a feeling that the plural subject is in fact put before the singular subject of the statement.
So basically O5car mangles the English language again.

It is my expert opinion that Robb overuses the phrase "you know what?"

Additionally, it was I who suggested that Verbal Crutch Monitor offer his opinion on this thread.

That's not a rule, fuckface, it's a preference like your penchant for children. "I and my family" is grammatically correct. What you like doesn't equal a rule.

"I believe in Thee, O God! Thou art righteous, and I and My people are wicked, and I acknowledge now that there is no god in the world beside Thee."

"I and whoever"
"I and no one else"

Please to be sucking it now.

I find the Patton Oswalt appearances to be a chore to listen to, Marc Fisher was just a dead fish, but those two guys were pretty listenable.

And of course radio is a dead business to someone who can only imitate a DJ but could never be a DJ. At least Don was actually a known DJ with experience in a lot of markets (=got fired a lot, but still). Fatt Rob has never been a DJ. He is a real life Rupert Pupkin.

Fortunately he's more than strong enough to carry the show!

Rob and Joe were probably just intimidated by the larger than life presence of Robb and Mike and maybe to a lesser extent the Big O.

Actually, you should have written, "the correct spelling BTW, you retard." Bad use of the comma, old chap.

Listening to yesterday where Mike, while reading the news, made reference to "when I wrote this", then continued to read the story. He thinks if he reads a news story on the air, he gets the writing credit. One more thing is bugging the shit out of me lately too. Whenever he goes to a commercial break he always laughs his way through the "we'll be right back on the Mike O'Meara Show". As if the show is so fucking funny he must take a break or laugh himself to death. Warning: once you start to notice this it will bug the shit out of you everytime you hear it thereafter! Sorry.

For a long time I had the same problem with images of Big Black Cocks sliding in and out of his daughters' pussies.

The Fisher interview was the best job Mike gas done with a guest or caller since Don left. Kudos, despite the lack of competition.
