Today, Monday, we got to hear from Jock Sniffer Mike when he talked about a redneck who is clearly more physically capable than himself, who holds "5 or 6 jobs" and he doesn't want the guy to know where his house is. I don't believe the 250K figure for one second. Don once said that when he was on KHTK he made 5% of what he made on WJFK. If he made 3M at JFK, that means 150K at KHTK. My bet is he was lucky to have made 100K at KHTK.

For some reason I thought that only Don and Dear Eater were employed by the station, and Don paid the rest of the crew like Slow Joe and Blobb out of his own salary. Even if LFF got only a third of Don's pay back then, that's still an obscene amount of money for him to have pissed away in what, 15 years?

I thought D&M signed a 5 yr/$30M contract, but that was for both of them. As I recall, it was a 60/40 split for Don/Mike. Of course, that didn't include what they had to pay their agent. If that's even close to true, it helps explain Mike's bitterness at having pissed that much money away.

A couple of weeks ago Headd gave a thin-skinned FB reply to a Klubber who asked him to play The Beatles' "You Know My Name" on his jukebox. "Not their best" wrote our favorite fatty. Apparently, he's changed his mind given last night's FB post. If I didn't know any better I'd say Colitis-breath wasn't familiar with the song the Klubber had requested two weeks ago. But now that he's listened to it, he likes it. In fact, he now claims that it's "always been an odd favorite of mine."

Robb had no career momentum at WJFK. Don kept him on as a charity case. When Don left, Mike was stupid enough to make him second mic, against Don's sage advice. Robb helped destroy Mike's WJFK show. A normal person would have acknowledged he fucked up by promoting Robb. But that would mean Mike admitting he was wrong and that the loss of his show was self-inflicted. Mike's ego can't handle that kind of reality, so he has spent the past 6+ years doubling, tripling and quadrupling down on the Robb failure to the point he's tapping into insurance and retirement to pay the bills. But you were right, Mike. Robb belongs on the air.
