For those who came in late, as The Phantom comic strip used to say, remember she pestered Fat Drunk Baby for a baby and broke up with him over that, then they got back together and married. Now she's marred by a caesarean scar and letting that monster crawl on top of her, although my money says she's always on top, gettin' it done.

I live in Reno...
First, I don't EVER go to the Circus Circus. I don't care who was going to be there. The dump of a ballroom in the basement with folding chairs is not a venue to do anything but have a boring business meeting. There are so many other great venues that actually have a stage and theater seating like the El Dorado. The best is the Celebrity Theater at the Nugget. They have tables and waitress that take your drink orders during the shows. So why should I go to some dump?
Second, I'd never pay to see LFF. I don't buy bonus shows, or any of their other crap.
Third, I don't want to hang with anyone who would go to the show. Did you see the picture or those klubbers? Exactly the people who go to Circus Circus (or Walmart).
The only good that came out of this is a couple of hundred people coming from out of town on an otherwise dull weekend for tourism here. Waite, what am I saying... Vicky Laurence is at Harrah's tonight! Now that's a show.

I'm still unclear on why Reno and not DC
One would assume that tmos did some market research and they have a ton of listeners within acceptable driving range of Reno. But since this is tmos, 0 fucking chance
Much more likely is the LFF had some "casino points (bucks, credits, whatever)" that were about to expire and well fuck it, daddy needs some gambling time after all that child raising. So, might as well make Oscar earn his $ and get him to schedule a show out there

Cult following couldn't be closer to the truth if it tried. It is telling that, as many others have stated, the live shows are never offered in audio form like so many other successful podcasts provide. Have to feel like if MSPOM mentioned the size of the room on the pod he'd be like that Geico commercial with the Pinocchio stand-in; either his nose would grow or his ears would crease ever more...
Good on him for actually posting though, despite people's beliefs that he'd do the opposite here. Yet when you're playing to the dullards and burlesque dancers of the world, even R-O-double-Bee's ridiculous leopard print seems beyond contextually awful. Here's hoping they all get as many casino buffet crab legs as they can stomach so they can spin this into a success and keep the fail train a-rollin'.

Seriously, it's getting sad at this point. It's like a bad TV movie about an aging rock star that ends with the broken down musician playing in local dives, barely able to hold a tune or play the guitar anymore from the years of abuse.
This how Mikes TV movie ends. Having an "event" where 20 people show up and they do a conga line because any talent that was there in the past is gone so he does puppet shows and conga lines.

I count the row of being around 12 across and at least 7 rows deep and likely mirrored. If that picture was taken 20 min before the show starts, no big deal. If that was taken 30 seconds before the lights dim, than well...

I go to Reno every year and I can tell you that Circus Circus isn't exactly a high class casino hotel. So to be standing in a line of one at 7:15 at that dump is even sadder than most can imagine. It;s the only casino I've been to that can actually make me feel sorry for the cocktail waitresses because they're older, not very attractive and reek of desperation. I overtip them out of mercy.

First, given the number of empty seats, even in the front row, that guy must have felt like a tool holding that place in line for his clueless girlfriend.
Second, Rob(b) looks totally gay with that handlebar mustache and leopard print jacket. Looks like he should be on Castro Street taking it up the ass.
Third, it obviously wasn't a sellout or standing room only show if they could do a conga line.
Fourth, if I was in that conga line, I would be behind Carla with my hands firmly on her ass.

Maybe based on that picture of the estimated 164 chairs, 120'ish are taken. Again, it really depends on the timing of that picture...
If the capacity of that room is 500and tmos wanted 400 (at least) or 80%, maybe the krew came close enough to the mark

Most of the fans were great, but there was one fan that did something small and it annoyed the LFF greatly

I don't know, RP 3 makes a good point actually. The podcast continues to go on after all these years, fans turned out for the show and (based on the few photos I see here) seemed to enjoy the event. I guess I'm not really sure you guys have much of a case against the show at this point. So many years later and TMOS seems to be doing just fine...

I've never debated that tmos has a small audience and I don't doubt that those idiots are making a living off of it
My problems with them are mainly:
The LFF told me to try harder. Ok fine, but criticizing me breaks the social contract and now I get to change my expectations. If I'm berated and told to support the show better, it follows that the show should follow suit and become better. It didn't
There is no other place to have a non-saccharine conversation about tmos. Any preceiced negatitivity or legitimate criticism about tmos on the FB page or their forums (when they had them) was shouted down sans merit
I've stated that tmos makes $ and likely will continue until it isn't profitable.
That said the logical question is: "so why do you post here?"

I'll admit, I'm obsessing. On the conga line. If anyone had seriously predicted that would be a part of the Reno show, I would have scoffed. If the prediction was made as a joke, I would have said it wasn't funny; even that was way too hacky for Spewak. I would have been spectacularly wrong.
Of course, Spewak will have presented it as self-aware hacky comedy, which therefore makes it funny. I'll agree there are ways to make hacky bits funny, but Spewak hasn't discovered a single one of them yet.

LFF can be very funny but lately he's just phoning it in. I don't know him personally but from the string of ex-wives and professional bridges burned it's a safe bet he's an asshole...but a (sometimes) funny asshole. I'll listen harder when you try harder dude.
