I already called the authorities and told them that you had chronic stank pussy, they said that TWO hazmat teams had already been to your location, but after five vigorous scrubbings, you were a lost cause.

Tara, the FBI said they are taking my report very seriously. Don't be suspicious of that "delivery" van that's going to be parked outside your house. It's definitely NOT the FBI. They also sped over here with lights and sirens to shoot that raccoon in my backyard. Guess you were right. The police ARE there for grudges and stupid little things that no adult should ever contemplate calling over.

Also, if you'd actually read through this thread you'd see that there are actually very few "trolls" here. I don't know why all the die-hard tmos fans call anyone with a negative comment a "troll" or a "hater". 99% of the regulars here were huge fans that became disillusioned with the downward spiral of the show. I personally haven't listened in 2014 but I still post here. If the show ever turned it around, all the regulars here would be honest and start praising the show. I would be ecstatic if that happened since I could always use more podcasts to listen to.

I'm assuming you'll never post here again after being ridiculed, but I'm honestly curious what is going on in your head to think people here are trolls? Have you seen some of the threads on the fanklub? Any negative opinion is met with klubbers ridiculing the negative post and (gasp) trolling him/her. If you really want to see the trolls, read through the klub page.

How bad is the book? Better than I could have ever imagined...There's little doubt why the author isn't still writing text books...Stuck pigs don't sweat, they bleed...Whores in church sweat...Oscar has an excuse, does he? And who would focus ANY vignette? Much less one where they discuss DENTAL FLOSS! I love it because it is a perfect example of how fucking lazy Mike is...He makes up some jackass statement...Robb "corrects his grammar for comedy"...Oscar piles on....Mike contradicts/corrects his original statement...and then does on air "research"(all in the name of organic comedy)...Why in the name of God would you highlight that in the free look? It's a duopoly indeed...

That book takes lameness to a whole new level.

I like how Carla calls out to the guy that he can go on in, while she's sitting in the car. Do they make her sit in the driveway while they tape the show?

"I could tell you stories that would curl your hair." But you won't get any of that from Mike. Instead, you get to hear how they do an opening vignette, how the guys tell stories about their lives and kid around together. Things any fan would already know.

Why is it that anything Mike is associated with ends up sounding like an infomercial?

There's nothing "Open" about Open Mike. Arte Lange's Too Fat to Fish is a much better read that actually gets into his heroin addiction and how he had to help support his family when his dad became paralyzed. Nobody gives a shit about what Mike does between rolling out of bed and pretending to be in radio for the day.

Take a look at this Amazon review:

"Highest possible recommendation. Don't be fooled by the fake negative reviews. Greatness spawns jealous trolls in all areas, and as there are almost no podcasts greater than the Mike O'Meara Show, haters try to act like they matter from the comfort and safety of their sad, pathetic worlds. The Mike O'Meara Show is a funny, original, creative and informative podcast that puts out five free hour plus long podcasts a week plus a bonus show and a host of other quality free programming on their network. This was a start-up that they built from the ground up and now provides awesome entertainment to literally millions every day. They sell out live shows, pack appearances, and consistently bring the funny. This book does a great job of honestly telling that story. The show lost some (mostly) dead weight several months ago when a segment of the family went off on their own and started their own podcast network. It is nowhere near the quality, but it only served to streamline TMOS and make their already great show better. I haven't finished the book yet, but have enjoyed it a great deal thus far. Whether a fan of the show or someone who has never listened to an episode but is a fan of a true, all-american success story of friends making it work and succeeding together, this is well worth the price. I will probably buy a hard cover as well, to add to my collection of books to let friends and family enjoy as well. Great book. Don't be tricked by a few desperate, sad individuals."

Only one "literally;" try harder, fan.

Take a look at what else this guy has reviewed and loved:

Book on professional wrestling
WWE DVD
Elf the movie holiday drinking glasses
Christmas Vacation drinking glasses: "Love the product and have gotten a ton of compliments on them thus far... Highest possible recommendations."
'Beer: The Reason I Get Up Every Afternoon' sign: "Love this product. Sign looks great, people always laugh, it is awesome. Highest possible recommendation."
NY Yankees Christmas ornament: "...[old one] broke in the process of taking our ornaments down this year. So happy I could replace it with an exact replica."
Pasta bowl: "Accidentally broke one of these washing it and was happy to be able to replace it so easily"
Fat Italian Chef spoon rest: "I accidentally broke our old spoon rest, which was in the fat chef theme... Highest possible recommendation."
Big League Chew grape: "Highest possible recommendation."

Look at what gets this clumsy guy's "highest possible recommendation:" chewing gum, spoon rest, Clark Griswold drinking glasses, lame beer sign....and, Open Mike! At least he's consistent.

And the fan club continues to prove that they're pussies. Why speak directly to the people you have a problem with when you can just talk shit about them in Amazon reviews? It's a good thing no one who doesn't listen to the show is ever going to give a shit or even hear about the book because if they did and looked up what people said about it on Amazon, they would be confused as hell. "The only positive reviews barely even talk about the book. They're just insulting other people. What is this?"

I read the preview. The author seemed like a nice guy on the show, and I'm not going to crap on him. My issue is only that how could this story be interesting without any details on the level of success (subscription growth, major sponsorship success) or challenges (typical startup issues, personnel optimization, project failures).

If the story is just that they put a mic in a living room, who cares? Fans like me have heard all the shows. Newcomers, who might be interested in the new media startup side of this story (which could or should be compelling), won't find anything they can learn from.

The theme of the book seems to be, to quote Robb: "Everything's great!"

I love the description about being "unapologetically" being fired without consideration for how it might affect one financially. What a sense of entitlement! Employers aren't required to give you a job. Wonder if Mike ever apologized for the shitty ratings at WJFK or The Edge. Wonder if Mike apologized to Michael Hughes or McKuen for helping to cost them their jobs due to his lack of effort.

Let's keep F-U classy. It is difficult for someone (like me) who does not live in Virginia to keep up with the usual suspects of TMOS. Horney Bob is about as far as I go in trying to understand who is who. The book itself and its reviews are plenty funny enough without attacking members of other forums. Ronic and Buzz I know as they were a part of the Fraudcast. I really don't care who is who at Quince etc. It makes you sound like nerds. What I liked about the above is that Ronic refers to his shit as a "company" and his friends as "business partners." Ronic is clearly as funny as Robb - and by 'funny' I mean in the way they didn't intend.

Ronic is radio poison.

The only thing he has of value to offer is stories about the failcast. I'm not interested in hearing another summer camp story.

So, Ronic has that on Rob(b). I don't think Rob(b) has anything of value to offer other than a wonderful death.

What would Rob(b) be like in the meetings where O, LFF, and Rob(b) were talking about firing Buzz. Rob(b) probably doesn't shut up and all he could think about was how much more mic time he'll get?

Clearly Ronic has some dirt that would be interesting, but for some reason he won't talk about it.

O probably could dish dirt too but is too far up the fuckwaddle's ass to give us anything entertaining.

Buzz had a great chance to talk about how he tried to help the LFF get VO work and LFF was too drunk to make it happen, getting yelled at, etc but for some reason he doesn't want to burn that bridge.

I'd guess interesting TMOS dirt stories would go:
Ronic > O > Buzz > RJ

That cover really is the worst. The perspective is all fucked out, the cut and paste composition is terrible. And they fucking hyped it. "We all agreed right away this was the best one." What were the other options? A picture of a turd? Goatse?

Skipped Tony's foreword and made it to page 3 of the introduction, after a few words that would convince anyone that the author is a stalker, recognizes Carla's voice, multiple inside references, circling the house a few times(who would let someone like this into their home, let alone return their phone call "within the hour"?), Mike's first Great Quote: "I am not about to start bad-mouthing anyone I've ever worked with."

At this point I can't wait until Mike voices the audiobook. That phrase alone can provide at least an hour of Mike proving himself wrong.

I'll read the rest of the book tonight, too much to waste my day on it. On a different note, listening to a BOAD episode from last week, Chad said when he does an impression, he is actually doing an impression of Mike doing that impression during the D&M days. I'm pretty sure that's what Mike does now too.

The book has a Freudian slip cover.

1) The sign indicates the show is "online." So, Mike is either late, has left early, or couldn't make it downstairs for the podcast in its 1903 Victorian days.

2) the legal pad and pen are facing AWAY from the purported occupant of the chair, Mike. Evidently the author or artist (sic) realizes that he does not do any prep for the podcast. The pad and pen must be for the others in the room. That the pad is blank is just another indication of the lack of work being done before, during or after the broadcast.

Since the book is about people doing a podcast, I would think a microphone would have been somewhere on the cover, not to mention the Open Mike- Open Mic play they used for the title, but no, they must have used the cover image budget up on the iPhone image rights.

Some might think VH was involved in the creation of the cover... it's that unflattering. The only thing that would have made it more so would have been to place Mike in the chair.

It's typical TMOS: design up some bullshit by the lowest bidder, proof/check nothing, send it to print.

I don't think anything ever associated with TMOS hasn't been minor league half assed garbage.

They are the laziest shitbags in podcasting.

Items oft-discussed and recommended here on FFXU:

Overhaul of birthday segment.
Cross-promotion on TMOS of other MORE podcasts.

Partially done and done. Surprising Mike and Oscar rejected Robb's "Don't give the listeners what they want!" argument for the status quo.

Being marginal items and easily-accomplished, though, I expect TMOS will collapse from the effort and not address any other issues. Mike's "I hear you; I get it" phase is over.

In Trip's mind, Robb is a man who has "done everything"? Jesus, his life must be a fucking disaster. It seems like he's on Facebook 24/7 since he comments on every fucking thing that's posted at any time. Mike even busted his balls mfiple times about it. I guess it's not shocking he thinks their lives are worthy of jealousy.

Then that other douche says he read a post attacking Aimee and lumped everyone here with that one poster. That's a really intelligent thing to do. Condemn an entire group of people because you didn't like one post.

What I can't figure out about the Facebook groups is why the ones that actually come here and discuss things like David M. and Aimee can be completely ignored when they state that it's not so bad. You would think that at least some of the other posters would check it out with a more open mind, instead they seem to like the blind affirmation they get when they attack this thread.

Ways to tell they are bandwagon jumpers instead of actually coming here to see for themselves:

Accuse us of doing police record checks, school record checks, etc. and posting them in this thread.(I don't think anyone here really cares that much.)

Post a link to here and 20 minutes later claim to have read this thread.(I've been here months and months and haven't read it all. I read the first 20-30 pages and have been posting the last hundredish.)

Use the general "hater" tag instead of actually disagreeing with reason to something brought up.(Other than name calling, they are always happy to point those out.)

The worst part of the last screenshot was that it was the RELM FB group, as said before, Marc was generally received well when he posted here and proved it was him. I'm sorry to tell whoever started that thread and all the klub threads but not everyone agrees on what is good, and when people disagree, if they aren't sheep, they will let someone else know they disagree. Oh, while I'm telling them new things they've never heard, not everyone on Facebook uses their actual name. Last thing for them, not all content on this website is provided by this thread, there are other threads about completely different topics.

Another quote from the introduction, "The hosts never held a face-to-face meeting with Kinard; they had no opportunity for closure." I only remember because I just re-listened to it last week, but, on Episode 1 of the podcast, Mike was very vocal about not doing live shows the last week, it was his decision to refuse to have any closure on his radio career. He even stated that management wanted him to do a farewell week.

You think Hank and Aliece and Dan Towne would be favorites if they checked this thread out, saw what it really is, and admitted that it isn't actually the dark cesspit of hatred that it's made out to be? Heavens no! The guys know them all by name. They're buds! They can't jeopardize that.

Closed mindedness goes both ways. My friends have seen me defending this place then come here and see the third post of jhopkins asking if I plan on completing my bottom surgery or if I had already....and that's not VH. It's just him showing how hot he is for trans*girls. Other than that, ya'll are pretty cool with me, and have treated me with more respect and heard my point of view more than I got in The Klub. I feel anyone is allowed their own opinion, and this is as good a place as any to have an opinion about the show. God knows you could never say what was on your mind there in the Fan Club.

My first stab at TMOS came back in the days of "That being said, literally..." by Big O. WE ALL used to do it, yes even Certa. Comments about the show in chat were never ever hatred. It was all in ball busting and entertaining each other. PS - Yes we did sit there for 4 and a half hours that one day Mike shut the broadcast down over Christmas and someone called the cops (some still thought that was me for some reason, rather than the logical, it was a noise call from his neighbors)

Mike claims to be a big fan of the military. I wonder how many of his military buddies he pissed off by arguing the deserter's case. LFF gets on his high horse and reasons that if "King Michael" were in that same position, Mike would support him fully. Guess what, Mike, those 5 enemy combatants we released in the swap also had parents. Do you feel sympathy for them, too?

The fucker deserted his unit in wartime. The maximum punishment for desertion in war is death. The Uniform Code of Military Justice doesn't give a shit about the accused member's parents. Actions have consequences.

I'm sure Mike's mom is a saint. It doesn't make Mike any less of an asshole.

A bad day for Mike is when a stranger in a restaurant fails to compliment his daughters. Imagine risking life and limb running around a war zone to find some dumb shit who decided to quit playing Army. I guess Mike can relate to Bergdahl since he's walked off of radio shows. They're practically twins.

It's a shame that Mike is so torn over which side to take. Poor Robb will get whiplash from kissing both sides of Mike's ass that quickly.

I know people who served with Bergdahl. He deserted his post, abandoned the Soldiers depending on him, and wandered out to the enemy. Good men died trying to bring him back, because he's American, and that's what good men do.

Don't beat yourself up. At the end of the day, Katie is still a somewhat attractive not complete waste of human existence, even if she chooses, of her own free will, to record a podcast with Blob(b). Well, in fairness, I think Mike was afraid of pissing Carla off. He said she practically yelled at him about how any parent would make this swap if it was their child at stake.

But that's really a different issue. The decision wasn't up to this guy's parents. It was our president and his administration that made the decision, and it's reasonable for anyone to question the logic behind it. It just looks like our government made a really bad and foolish deal.

Of course the guys parents are going to be happy to have their son back, Carla. No one's even questioning that.

And no one's surprised that you make such a dumb point, considering that you're the same woman who married Mike.

Haven't listened to the show since late April because I didn't want to hear Mike's Donald Sterling hot take and that decision is just reinforced now.

Of course any parent of the guy would make that trade, but how are the parents of other soldiers going to feel when these 5 hardcore terrorists- who now have much more reason to hate America due to their (probably illegal) stay in Club Gitmo- return to a life of terror and attempt to kill more Americans.

Sadly, it seems that some people are just going to insist upon seeing what they want to see, and there is no reasoning with them. That's why it's refreshing to have articulate, thoughtful posters like moongyrl
who are considering both sides of the issue, instead of just knee-jerk reacting like some of the Klubbers.

Unfortunately, there is enough indefensible "vile" stuff here that the klubbers can find. Still, I would guess that the independent thinkers who noticed the different facets aren't going to post that dissenting comment THERE. I won't rehash the whole argument - but damn there are a lot of apparent fans and daily listeners here for this to be a pure hate site.

I recently left the FB fan club. I posted there from time to time, but found the level of asskissery hard to swallow. It was my silent form of protest.
