Exactly. I'm pretty close to LFF's age. I'm good for about three beers now, with food, before I go, "Whoa, that's enough for me." If I'm driving, less. If it's a big event, or I'm out with my guys, maybe a couple more over several hours. But it's pretty obvious that LFF drinks himself right into oblivion on a regular basis, and (when you consider his weight) that's just dangerous.

Wow, so much to look at in that picture. The horrified looks of the other patrons, Mike's fucked up teeth, ToMo's eyes, the dull, disinterested look on Rob's face, Oscar's hairline.....wow.....I bet Mike was ahead four drinks to everyone else's first drink.

Do you think this is a picture Mike is happy with/proud of? Do you think a snarky comment from his daughter will do anything to him?

The ironic thing is that Mike is always talking about other people's bad teeth, of course he talks about other people's weight problems as well, so I guess it is par for the course

For me, it's because they are the opposite of me and I find that fascinating. For instance, 8 days in Vegas would be pure hell to me. I'd be on the verge of suicide. Drinking heavily daily would be hell to me. Flirting with poor runaway doper teenage hookers at a plastic casino in a hell hole would be hell to me. Living in the deep past would be hell to me. Trying to drum up comedy while I was inwardly depressed would be hell to me. Being 53 years old with a newborn would be hell to me. Working with Robb on a daily basis would be hell to me. Putting up with the Bolivian Douchebag would be hell to me. Loving cops and wanting sexual relations with men in uniform would be hell to me. I could go on indefinitely. Now, take a number, troll.

Or complete a sentence without the phrase "you know", realize Sugar Gliders are a one day, one segment topic... not a 15 part series, keep his story straight about his weight "loss" (which Five Head does actually call him out on)

Did you notice that the the same segment (when Pony tells the story about his original sugarglider dying) made it on not one but two episodes of Best of TMOS? And it's not a short segment, it runs almost a half hour...

I'm not Mr. "Oh I don't listen" but I honestly couldn't bother with the "best of" eps. I knew their definition of Best and mine TOTALLY differ. Sounds like I was right.

I needed content, and after the Thanksgiving best ofs, I wanted to see what unintentional gold there was to be mined...One episode had 3 segments that included Pony's themes...another included several event promos...They are all Robb showcases

Fun few minutes on yesterday's show: they spent a couple minutes talking to a guy who is doing a documentary about podcasts. Mike, seemingly in a good mood and genuinely curious, essentially tells the guy that he has no idea how TMOS is doing compared to other podcasts, and asks some broad questions, which basically boil down to, "What kind of metrics should we be using to measure our success as a podcast, anyway?"

Think about this. You have the "star" of the podcast, the guy whose name is on the show, conceding that he basically knows nothing about his current business, and asking the documentary guy to explain it to him. Mike even says something like, "All I know is we have some advertising revenue coming in, and we're able to feed our families," before going on to note that he has no idea how to even define success beyond those benchmarks.

I tellya-- that has to inspire all sorts of confidence in potential sponsors, current sponsors, and potential radio outlets. It's encouraging to know the TMOS business plan is based on a realistic understanding of the market and progressive goals.

Regarding the metrics, if they went to CES with the hopes of enticing an advertiser, I'm sure Mike's knowledge of the industry he has supposedly been a leader of (by his account) for four years is less than confidence inspiring. I don't understand the total lack of intellectual curiosity about something he is theoretically "passionate" about.

Also on Thursday's show: Mike takes unabashed joy in the fact that Pony apparently unsubscribed to the premium Big O and Dukes shows (by accident, he says).

And I don't mean that Mike made a passing joke about or reference to it. I mean he made it into a bit, how excited and happy he was. Even to the point of singing "Everybody unsubscribe to Big O and Dukes!" along with Pony's theme music.

Awesome to know that that respectful, supportive relationship between TMOS and Big O and Dukes flows both ways. Excellent friend, that O'Meara.

One of the funniest things I heard on the old Don and Mike Show, prob around 1990, was when Joe Theisman was on. D&M were making fun of someone's weight and Joe says "you guys aren't making fun of someone for being fat are you?"...The silence that followed was hilarious

Actually, you weren't paying your mortgage. That's why you are paying rent now.

Yeh, remember, Robb is renting his palace in Leesburg.

There are so many legitimate reasons Blob(b) is less than a man, no one needs to invent fake reasons. He has told the story a dozen times; he *was* renting his town house in Leesburg, but "made $100K" when he kept renting while the price fell before buying. Whether he is above water or not is a valid question, but he (or at least his wife) does hold a mortgage on the house he lives in.

If he did lose his home in McLean to foreclosure, I find it hard to believe any bank would give him another mortgage right away. Maybe it is under Cary's name but, then again, would Cary make enough to qualify?

Robb lost his one home to foreclosure. He now lives in a rented townhouse, not a house. I could post the info and pics online, but I respect his privacy. You can find it with a simple google search.

Unsubstantiated speculation about Robb's townhouse mortgage takes away from (what I believe is) the propose of this thread: the absolute shittyness of TMOS.

I agree! I could give 2 fucks (or Five Heads) about the casts speculated financial woes. Mike says he's broadcasting from FL more all of a sudden he's moving to Florida and Carla left him? c'mon guys (and some gals) the show provides us enough content to critique.

Ah,but it's part of the pattern of destruction. LFF and young hot wife and new baby . . . suddenly, LFF finds a reason to be a thousand miles away. Does anyone think the failcast will be better when conducted via Skype? (No.) Do you think the inevitable technology issues will be blamed on Skype/LFF's internet provider/Apple? (Yes.) The turds are circling the bowl . . .

Yet there is still a desire to go after Mike's daughters, his wife, his son, the pictures of his house, Robb's kids, his wife, the list goes on.

Oh, another rant about the ethics and morality of attacking everything in Mike's life, not just what goes out over the air. Perfect, it's been 2-3 pages since we did this.

Nothing too profound here but wasn't one of the bragging points of TMOS that it was "the best sounding podcast out there"? How does that square up with Mike phoning it in on a soup can string phone from FLA? If the pre-Vegas incarnation is representative they might want to scratch that talking point off their list.

Ding, ding, ding. Not getting the notion that we can criticize the show, solely the show, and only the show, but nothing that's discussed ON the show. So we can criticize the way LFF TALKS ABOUT his (obvious) drinking problem, but the not the problem itself? Do tell . . .

Don't read or post here if you can't handle talk outside what is specifically talked about on the show.

I love how this morphed into us opposing to people talking about Mike's weight, drinking or gambling problems. Pretty sure no one is opposed to that. Hell I've thrown a jab or 2. I simply stated I could give 2 shits about finance speculation with Robb. people hear one thing all of a sudden Robb is on Wic and Carry left for ToMo.

Good God, that whole week in Vegas was a train wreck. And the bonus show reached an all time new low with the three humps walking around and trying to talk to the vendors. LFF is so bad at being funny off the cuff that it makes me cringe. I found it funny that LFF was all over Robb for what he ate all week as if LFF is in top shape and sticking to a strict diet. What really happened is that Carla keeps telling him what he can and cannot eat so my guess is that LFF had maybe one or two healthy meals and then hid everything he really ate. Still don't know the benefit for the show of going to CES other than a free trip to Vegas right after the holiday break. Can you tell these guys miss all the time off they had when they had real jobs?

No doubt...How long before they are calling Mike in Fla, putting him on speaker and holding the phone to a mic?

Decided to listen to the show for the first time in months (aside from The Letter segment a couple weeks back) so I tuned in to the latest episode on iTunes, show #973. Right out the muthaflippin' gate we are treated to "BRECKY" (aka breakfast), "INCIDENTALLY," and "LITERALLY" before the clear the three minute mark. And plenty of talk of alcoholic drinking. Sounds like I haven't missed a thing in the last eight months.

INCIDENTALLY it's LITERALLY the same ol' shit on TMOS!

So if it doesn't actually happen on the Failcast, we can't discuss it? You mean, like knees being blown out at Hooters and suitcases being thrown at spouses? Seriously, when the fuck did this become a courtroom? Is Judge Judy going to tell us what we can and cannot say? Who attacked the baby? The baby's existence is certainly a plot point, but who doesn't feel anything but bad for the kid? The only real question is whether the little nipper will grow up in a FUNCTIONALLY one-parent household (i.e., LFF in Florida a lot, and actively avoiding parenting when he's in NoVa), or a REAL one-parent house, if . . . y'know.

and LFF ate uncontrollably whilst drinking uncontrollably. Plausible deniability if asked later by Carla what he ate since he couldn't possibly remember (other than looking for evidence on his food-stained clothes). He couldn't even remember his room number after too much drinky; he's surely not going to be able to recall something he doesn't want to remember.

Most of the shit on here is speculation. LFF never said he threw a suitcase at Carla. He said "suitcases were thrown." Maybe she threw a suitcase at him. Maybe he threw a suitcase into the crawl space. If speculation is off limits, why talk about Florida at all? Or Weight Not? Or Vegas and what did or didn't happen at CES? Were any of you there? Maybe Mike wasn't drunk - or sucking Robb's cock - in that photo.

pretty sure there was a cock in or around Mike's mouth. Photo evidence and all.
