Mike O'Meara is a big, fat dumbass
Posted by: zue ()

Mike O'Meara is a big fat dumbass.. and a hypocrite. Emphasis on FAT and DUMB.

Here he is (at 1:15:30) defending the IRS in this latest scandal:
TMOS 821 1:15:30
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS0bGBSTK3U

What an ass.

A stupid ass.

And such a f***ing hypocrite. If this scandal was on Bush's doing, he'd be howling like a stuck pig. But for him to actually defend the schmucky IRS guy in charge of this is despicable.

How did they get an hour and 15 minutes into a show?

Mike reading on air is the worst. He has a painful sing-song cadence and the "uh uh um um" stuttering is just plain terrible to listen to. The worst is when he reads something live that he hasn't proofread yet and then realizes it is a hoax or schtick in the middle of the read, like when he reads pop culture or entertainment lists. How much effort does it take to look over something before the show? It's so weird. This is like showing up to give a speech without looking over the speech first to see what it says. Who, other than Mike obviously, would do this?!

There's a couple of problems with this. First, Carla might be a doormat, but even the biggest doormat would have walked out after that. Second, this would have involved LFF exerting some effort to find the luggage in the first place, which is highly unlikely.

I think Carla got the luggage out and told LFF to hit the road. She may have tossed it at him and he threw it back. This would mean some shared blame for the incident, which could be why Carla simply didn't leave. Pure conjecture, of course.

Yes, could have happened that way. But either way, Carla got the suitcase out first. Mike got angry and tossed it, then probably apologized before he passed out.

5 or 10 minutes, which is far too much effort for him. What do you expect, Mike to work 90 minutes every day? Please...

I think he's really in trouble - and he knows it. On Friday's wine tasting show he didn't touch a drop. Whatever Carla laid on him with the suitcase bit must've scared him silly.

I just heard the wine tasting show. It was really horrible with lots of hehehehehe from Oscar and hahahahahahahaha from Head. A big show about nothing. But what I wanted to know from those of you who actually WATCH this shit is if Mike was masturbating during the wine tasting. It sure sounded like it. He kept begging the others to elaborate on the taste and to drink more and more!!!!! He sounded pretty wound up.

Poor Oscar had his mom pick him up from Quench. He doesn't see what is happening to him.

The show is only interesting to me in how bad it is. A real circle jerk.

I don't feel bad for Robb or Oscar -- and I didn't feel bad for Buzz. Mike's rants weren't so bad that anyone with balls couldn't have stood up for themself and given it right back. Most times, Mike was in the wrong anyway (he's not very bright) and all one had to do was call him out.

Too bad Robb gained seemingly most of it back from December to the time of their Spring break trip.

Look at pictures from their Reno Show back last winter (or the pictures still on the weightnot website) and the pictures from the spring break trip that I believe was in March this year- especially the picture of him and Mike in front of the Master Bait & Tackle shop. So much for being such a sustainable diet as they keep saying on the shows.

Somebody made a comment on 5/29 about how big of a drunk do you need to be to have your intervention at a bar. On Don's 5/28 show he said he was in DC for Memorial Day weekend. Anyone wonder if Don was in DC for an intervention of Mike on Friday of Memorial Day Weekend? Mike said he was out with friends and family when he had his big meltdown, was rude to everyone, tried to walk home, and then threw the suitcase. My background: Sometimes listener to Mike O'Meara Show, sometimes visitor but never commenter on this board, huge Don and Mike fan. I listen to old episodes on paintyourbaldspot every day when I'm at the gym. I think the old show was the greatest show of all time.

If that's true (about Don coming out east for Mike's benefit), then he's a better man than I ever thought.

In any case, I wish Mike well on the road to sobriety. It's not an easy thing. He's had a few disappointments -- financially, professionally. But he's also got a lot of good going in his life. Things worth fighting for. I hope he's able to turn things around.

I think there's a lot of negativity on this board about Mike and his show, and I get it. It could be much better. He's definitely got some issues. If being sober is what it takes for him to get his career, family, and show back on track then I wish him the best. On the old show he was absolutely hilarious - as were all the guys, and the show was a homerun because everyone had their role and Don was a hell of a leader for that crew. I don't claim to have any inside info or anything, but the theory I laid out before seems quite plausible and I think its more than a coincidence that Don was back east.

I think it's possible that he didn't, and I have ZERO faith in him. But the combination of the suitcase incident -- and Carla's response -- apparently did shake him a little. The effect will be temporary, naturally, but I think a couple of weeks of no drinking/good behavior aren't out of the realm of possibility.

But not much more.

I wonder if Karla will let him sit by them in five years at JR. O'meara's graduation.

....Maybe he will be in an urn by then.

Are you guys making fun of me?

I really do think that the Don and Mike show was the greatest show of all time.

Stop laughing.

I mean it.

Don flew out to save Mike like a superhero!

It's a bird!

It's a plane!

It's DON GERONIMO!!

I loaded the podcast today hoping to hear a refreshing purge from Mr. O'Meara. What I enjoyed most about the DandM show is that the life stories shared at least seemed true, and often reflective. Maybe that was mostly Don, as I'm discovering his show in Sacramento, and being reminded to a small degree what I enjoyed about DandM for 11 years...

As nice as his letter to his daughter was, it was not what he should be discussing in this tumultuous time of his life. Real talk, Mr. O'Meara. Give your listeners the details you only begin to preview.

I now enjoy (and spend more time) reading the forum here than I do listening to the failcast. Does this mean I'm going to the dark side?

From Don G's show today, he talked about how fat he is, said hes been on a diet with 1200 cal a day and daily treadmill and he s lost 7 pds in almost 3 wks. ALSO SAID HE WEIGHED 270. Jesus that's fat, but what a refreshing change from LFF/Fat Baby. Wish him the best and appreciate honesty, something Mike can not deliver.
Also Don had an awesome 30 min interview with the real Scott from the Liberace movie. Again contrast btwn that and what LFF provided as per commentary. Don has become a pretty good interviewer and has learned to shut up and listen to the person speaking.
Also I think there is a 0% chance Don flew to DC for some intervention for Mike. Better chance he came in to see Buzz?

There's no comparison. Don has a job and a little humility. Mike doesn't have either.

Don doesn't seem to mind getting crap from his crew. Mike comes unglued.

Don has real guests... a lot of them considering he's in a small city like Sacramento. I think he's getting a little better as an interviewer. The quality of the questions improves when he's interested. He falls back on his stock questions the rest of the time.

Mike's interview with that blonde from the Food Channel was so awful it made me cringe. Other than that, he hasn't had any guests to speak of.

Don hinted at another TV gig coming up soon. That's why he's trying to lose weight. Mike's just given up.

Geronimo To Do WMAL Afternoons - 4/1 - DCRTV hears that Cumulus news talker WMAL has hired DC radio veteran Don Geronimo (right) to do afternoons, replacing the syndicated Sean Hannity. Geronimo will move back east from Sacramento, where he's been doing mornings on CBS's KHTK. Geronimo is still under contract to CBS, we're told, and the firm gave permission for him to be on WMAL due to a new corporate-wide deal between CBS and Cumulus. We're told that Geronimo, who admits to be leaning more to the right as he gets older, will be doing a politics and pop culture talk show for WMAL with longtime sidekick Joe Ardinger. Geronimo has been off the DC area airwaves since 2008, when he left CBS's then "guy talker" WJFK. There are rumblings that Geromimo's longtime former radio partner Mike O'Meara may join him for the new WMAL show, but, so far, no confirmation.....

If Don is 270, Mike is 370. In all the years I've listened to these two, I never got the impression they were friends. There is NO WAY Don would do an intervention for Weight Yes. Don is a Simple Jack retard, but at least he is a bit more honest about himself. Mike is an irrelevant morning zoo jock stuck in the past surrounded by high pitched laughing hyaenas.

Say whatever you like about Don, but the Don and Mike show was usually FUNNY. Mike has never had the chops to make it as the main act, and deep inside, I think he knows it.

Now if he would man up and do a balls-to-the-wall, *honest* show of ANY kind:
"Yeah, I drink too much...so ****ing what?"
"Weight loss didn't work out for me, like it didn't for a bunch of you fat hogs listening...now let me tell you what I ate yesterday *burp*"
"Did I want a kid? Honestly, no, but I have to tell you I'm getting excited about having a son"
etc. etc.
--I would have some respect for the guy!! No kidding!

The "haters" were the anonymous posters who wind up in the DCRTV Mailbag that talk about Mike's family. Mike went off about how unprofessional it is for Dave from DCRTV to include those posts when TMOS advertises on that website. The exact post in the mailbag was:

"MOM still the same fat, sweaty, bloated, worthless without Don, crybaby, yet enormously talented in many ways. Oh yeah: MOM is going to be a DAD again. Poor Carla."

He said he didn't mind them taking shots at him, but once his family was involved it crossed the line. He said that he wished he could meet the guy who posted it face to face and fight him.

There were a few veiled references to this site, but nothing worth repeating.

For what it's worth, I'd like mine back. It was seriously 60 minutes of Mike complaining about internet trolls. Riveting stuff.

For years Mike (and Don) went off against celebrities who brought their kids on tv with them, or highlighted them and or their families. Mike does all these things now and then complains when people say something about them.

Mike is such a tough guy. Didn't he learn his lesson when he blew out his knee? And btw, did we ever hear the whole story? So he fell and the fight was over?

Good point. Did they laugh at him as he tried to get back up, but was too drunk to? What did RJ do? Did Carla cry as her man lay there with his busted up knee?

Can you imagine his fat ass trying to fight somebody? All you'd have to do is make him chase you, and he'd have a heart attack in five minutes. In the alternative, one push, and he'd helpless on his back like a turtle.

Where can one get the Bonus Shows for free? One would like to hear the latest one, but one is morally opposed to paying for it. Waddle deedle.

Donnie G. was asked today (via Twitter, I think) whether he wanted to take Buzz on his show; he just laughed, and said something like, "I love Buzz, but I have a newsguy." And he further laughed that the only guy he has from the old show is Joe Ardinger.

Serious folks if there are any Game of Thrones fans on the board. I STRONGLY advise you skip todays show. The lack of show/book knowledge is infruiating as Oscar stumbles spreading nothing but untruths. If you haven't read the books, that's fine -- but don't act like you can examine every nuance of the show if you haven't. GOT is fine as pure entertainment, but I'm not surprised that the dickweeds can't even discussing a fucking TV show without getting everything wrong.

LFF complaining about DCRTV's lack of professionalism? You mean, like missing a personal appearance by sleeping off a bender and then sending your wife to pick up a case of wine?

Also, there was no intervention...at least a planned one. LFF losing his shit at a bar full of strangers has all the signs of Carla's work doing a send-off for her as she gets ready to do maternity leave. LFF can't handle anyone getting more attention than him...including his pregnant wife and son to be.
