And he talked about money coming from a listener, then he referred to that listener as "she". Kappy funding podcasts again? What if it is her and LFF finds out that she's helping RELM as well as him? Suitcases will be thrown at Olympic Games level.

Without naming her, Don revealed that Kappy gave RELM the equipment money for his podcast..

On another note, some of the Klubbers are registering every single name that is used on here. I've had to change my name 4 times in the last few days. Every version that I modified my name to gets registered by the next day. So fucking childish.

Don's description of the RELM financial side seems to mirror that of TMOS:

1)They take money from Kappy, call her a "Podcast Benefactor" (like that is a normal thing) and just use it for personal income. It is really sad that RELM and TMOS just take and take from this lonely old lady and pocket the money.

2) They put as little funding as possible into the actual podcast, using old equipment and unqualified people for the upkeep. Don telling about RELM using callers for technical advice seems to be like TMOS using "interns."

3) They milk the listeners for the quick buck using t-shirt sales and pay-per-listen "bonus" content that is all profit to make the bulk of their non-Kappy income. They know that few people would pay for the actual content.

The fact that RELM blew through Don's money just as LFF seems to blow through TMOS money leads me to believe that their actual revenue streams are small and picked over quickly leaving nothing left for advertising, live events or any investment back into the podcasts.

I think the biggest difference is that Don went in thinking that Relm was more stable and more professional than it actually is. There's nothing wrong with being a struggling business, but own up to it. Don also talked about specifically telling Ronic that he wasn't interested in selling t-shirts and "tchochkes" but in improving business by putting out a superior product. Of course, this is from Doni's ranting perspective, I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Absolutely nothing wrong with turning a profit. What Don is doing is accusing the RELMers of embezzling, but he's doing it in a slippery "don't sue me for slander" way.

I don't know exactly what that means, but I do like the sound of it

I forgot how long and boring Don's openings are. I'm 14 minutes in and still have nothing.

And of course Don's audio and site stinks. Not so easy, is it knowitall? Good job bragging about how good your new studio is when it sounds like you are calling on a wireless home phone 100 yards from the receiver.

Not defending them. But I didn't see any malfeasance or malfeasance in those three points. Two of the points below are what every non-celebrity podcast does. The other one is the bizarre benefactor thing. So fuck off.

Of course, Don is saying more right at the start that is actually negative. Missing money. Late payments. Stretching revenue and arguments about disbursements. Believable and damning stuff.

Anybody that has dealt with Ronnick knows what a slimy little thief he is...Even his best friend Lowell doesn't rust him with the $...that tells me all I need to know...If Lowell doesn't trust him , why should Don?

and in this chapter of Self Awareness Corner, Robbbbb chastised Oscar for using the word braggadocious when brag would have sufficed...and Mike said people in the Public Eye were fair game to mockery/satire...How did lightning not strike them both dead?

What I was criticizing by saying that TMOS is going for the quick buck outside of the Kappy Cash is the way that they whore out everything and have stopped any attempt to really build the brand.

There are no more live appearances, advertising, roadtrips that aren't Mike's vacations, etc. And there is no self-awareness about the failed advertisers such as weight-not. They just shill one piece of shit after the other hoping that something (the book?) will be the next money pot. Meanwhile the show goes to shit.

Checking out the RELM Premium content, they were definitely depending on Don for income, Other than MandL there was a couple Kirk McEwan episodes back in May and June and the few other shows were farther back than that. The total file size for all of RELM's premium content is a little less than 2.5 gigs, about the same as one month of DGS. Seems like once they got Don onboard they just gave up any interest in producing for their non-DGS subscribers.

LFF has sold 243 more books than I have.

But on the other hand, he's been in the public eye as a well-known broadcaster for more than 25 years, so I would say Open Mike is not the achievement he'd (kinda) hoped for. It's an embarrassment, actually. Literally.

Sorry to state the obvious.

People here commented on this contemporaneously, but why didn't Don just do his own thing? I understand the Buzz connection, but damn couldn't he have funded his own operation? All these problems would've been solved by joining a real operation OR doing it yourself.

Has anyone listened or followed Tom Leykis' network? This crap would have never happened to him. The whole situation is bizarre.

We will find out for sure whether Marc and Buzz can accurately answer to allegations. Frankly, if they pussy foot around and don't answer convincingly I don't know that I can continue to listen to them.

Don validated a lot of things that Mike hinted at. For instance, Marc wanting to be a star.

Marc definitely tried. When I would go to Don's download page, the M and L show would be shoe horned in there with Don's show.

No, you're on a roll, let it fly...and at best , you will get a "bait and switch" por premium in which they will say repeatedly that"this time, we're telling our side" in the big sell up and when it airs, Buzz stammers and Ronnick mumbles some veiled half truth...But truthfully, what can they really say? We know Ronnick is a slimy thief and we know KOB is a world class puss....they would BOTH still be on TMOS if that were not the case...
