How does Mike justify/explain their huge fall in the rankings on iTunes and the steady decrease in downloads?

By saying "(albeit slowly)" after saying he is gaining listeners?

What's the deal with Mike's "bad" Achilles? I thought his "bad knee" was the problem? Or is he just one of those people who always has some kind of medical ailment to explain away the fact that he is fat and lazy?

LFF explains why he had to postpone starting Weight Not. I left out Blobb and Oscar's Fat Bastard from Austin Powers references. "Was she afraid you would eat the baby?"

"Do you remember when I said I was starting the Weight Not program last week, and then my wife came to me and said 'You have a brand new baby who is here for the first week, you are not going to be starting your brand new program'. Technically I star- you know how that goes. You know, I'm going tell people that this is my feeling on the healthy start part of the program."

"You can really look forward to the fact that you are going to drop the weight, and it's going to work, I've been there with this, I've talked about it for months and months and months."

Translation: I've compulsively consumed alcohol and food for months and months and months...

"I really enjoy getting started on this, because you immediately start to feel the body cleaning up."

How do you delay "easing" into a diet?

Someone must have given LFF a shot of sodium pentothal before the show. He admits to not being on the diet, and then confirms what everyone already knows:

"I'm not a smart man, I went to American University."

By eating, of course.

Food is the answer.

To every question.

I imagine Mike's mood swings are in full effect/exacerbated when he's doing weightnot, and Carla is just keeping him off it for her own sanity.

Mike restarted the weightnot program, and began to eat and drink uncontrollably.

Having eased into the Weight Not program, Mike then began to eat and drink uncontrolably.

I don't know why WeightNot is using O'Meara as their spokesman. He has failed every single time he has been on the program. What is this, his seventh time on the program? Can you imagine if he was one of the people who had to pay the thousands to do the program? Makes me think the whole thing is a big scam. Even Spewak and R.J. haven't kept the weight off.

This is Mike. Just kidding, this is a mole associated with the show. I just wanted to let you guys know that you are fighting the good fight and in no way overestimate your own importance. When the members of the show write on here pretending to be somebody else, you always have the uncanny ability to spot them and call them out. In fact, you manage to do so every time somebody compliments or defends the show.

Sincerely,

Robb

Listener wrote last week he saw LFF at Jimmy's the first weekend of his son's life. LFF related this week that he went out drinking with Jimmy the second weekend of his son's life. Hard to keep up I know.

You have a new baby so don't go on a diet, but it's OK if you go out and get drunk instead.

It sounds like Weight Not is a total waste of money. I can't believe they have these fat asses push it for them. Talk about irony. If you want to loose weight, it's really not that hard. All you have to do is quit drinking and eating shit from McDonalds. It's the gigantic salt intake from processed food that will get you. Eat real food instead. You won't lose it in 3 weeks, but what you lose will be permanent. If you still need to get high, switch to weed or pills from you doctor - he's the biggest pusher in town. Easy to get. If you actually get healthy you will find that your need to get high goes away.

All simple.

- Based on the callers and featured fans of the show, the TMOS fanbase did appear to have a lot of earnest, generally nice folks in it. Could the (alleged?) ratings/downloads decrease be tied to nice folks getting tired of the repeated s***** behavior towards others?

Why do I continue to listen to this show? My god, it is horrible now. I used to love it. It slowly started going downhill, until one day I thought, "wow this show has been crap for a while".

It seems like maybe complacency? The stories used to be solid, interesting, and funny. Now there is nothing because these guys don't do anything interesting in their lives. Oohhh Mike took out the garbage and went to Costco? Who the fuck cares - we ALL do that stuff.

WORK HARDER. Your show can be good again if you recognize and correct the flaws. Come on Mike, updating servers and re-arranging the furniture isn't going to solve the fundamental problems with the show. FIX THE CONTENT, then you can worry about your seating arrangements.

Weight Not could care less if MOM is a suitcase-throwing manatee or that Robb dances in his basement while wearing his Nazi memorabilia while listening to The Sound of Music. This is yet another AFFILIATE program. It costs Weight Not nothing to have these idiots sell their product.

Weight Loss Affiliate Program
Want to market the world’s leading Weight Loss Program, look no further! We offer the highest payout, an incredible 50% on revenue, an additional 5% for any Webmaster you refer to us, plus an unheard of 50% on all reorders; when a sale comes in with your affiliate code the customer now belongs to you in our database.

No other program can compete with our exclusive tracking capabilities and honest payout system. Whenever your customer comes back to any of our sites you will get full credit for the sale. No need to worry about your commission checks, they are sent out twice a month, the 1st and the 16th with no minimums. Unlike most affiliate programs, we track Phone and Mail orders, and you’ll keep your commission even if a product is returned!

Generate extra income on your Website by using your advertising space and promoting the world’s leading Weight Loss Products. Your success is our goal! We help you every step of the way by providing you with the highest converting Weigh Loss product sites and state of the art marketing material for your Affiliates. You can make use of real time statistics and post back reporting to help you keep track of your success. As a Weight Loss Affiliate you can customize your own store on your own domain and use it to advertise the Weight Loss Products, or you can link to one of our sites and we will provide customized exits to ease the site transition for your customers.

Do you already generate 5 or more sales a day for another affiliate program? We offer incentives for super affiliates, including negotiable special commissions and payout structure. To ensure our Affiliate’s success we have created a Campaign Management System to keep track of their advertising efforts, as well as a highly responsive Webmaster Support Team.

Mike,

Can you please make an effort to temper the use of the word "incidentally" from your vocabulary? You say it about every three-five minutes and it gets annoying, kind of like when people say "you know" or "whatnot." I know you are familiar with those two examples because I've heard you criticize others for using them as verbal crutches in the past.

If you need specific clarification, just listen to TMOS #864. You drop "incidentally" into your dialogue four times within the first 20 minutes, even when in character in the opening vignette. Thanks in advance.

And their local advertisers are people they scammed into giving them free things (the guy who made their table, the people who did the signs for the living room, etc.) OR their friends like Todd.

They can't get ONE legitimate, real advertiser to pay them $$. Is it because their downloads are so far into the toilet or because potential advertisers actually LISTEN to an episode and say, "Wait, who is Jack Cassidy?"

They're basically no better than Internet Radio Tommy, yet they don't realize it...

Until they see the results of satisfied customers like Mike and Robb and see they can return to their former overweight and hence prosperous African royalty appearance at mere pennies a day.

who the hell would advertise on some two bit podcast?
you're going to reach just as many people buying a 30 second spot during the overnight shift of a college AM station

any why would anyone pick up syndication? you can spend less on some college dropout to spin records for 5 hours a day and have complete control over what you have

I sure hope little mikey doesnt want to go to college
unless LFF has a really good life insurance plan

Which part of his body would collapse as he attacked, his achilles, his knee, his heart, or his liver?

Let's put some clues together:

1. If they REALLY were willing to work hard to promote this fucking Titanic of a podcast, why does it take until NOVEMBER for a live show? Maybe because they're lazy? Maybe because they're going to need four months to pump it up to draw a crowd?
2. I can promise you that if Mike O'Meara and his little band of nitwits were putting on the failcast in my back yard, I wouldn't bother to look out the window.
3. By attending the live show, it could be argued that I'm supporting the failcast, even if only by buying a beer in a bar that allows them to perform (?) there. I'm not going to have that on my conscience.

So go fuck yourself.

Typical o'meara-turd

He won't even allow a question on his web site, how many bouncers do you think he would unleash on a heckler?

Perhaps you could take his balls off your chin long enough to ask him why he refuses to provide any avenues for feedback from his paying fans?

I was a goodest VIP member from day one and all I ever got was a shit email from the ass-lick boy who lives in his mom's basement so fuck them and fuck you.

This stuff sure does look and sound like snake oil. Is Mike so stupid and short-sighted that he doesn't get what is going to happen by promoting this stuff? The people who pay $2000 for it and don't lose the weight long term are going to hate the hell out of Mike and the rest of the gang. The other "advertisers" are going to be pissed that they are paying Mike money and not an affiliate and they are also going to be pissed that their products reputation is soured by all this. The rest of his small fan base is going to be pissed at him for screwing over people for a couple of bucks.

Don't mislead people Mike and don't screw over your fans, it isn't worth it long term.

Internet cowboys? The only fight Mike has ever talked about was started by him because someone rightly called him "Fatass" and he blamed the fact that he fell down and got a boo boo on his knee on his cowboy boots. So, as a wise man once said, fuck you.

I love the fact that O'Meara reads this stuff. He abides and I take comfort in that. None of us are here by choice, we were driven here. We all loved some incarnation of the show at some point but we all feel shit on now. So go ahead O'Meara, keep reading, keep picking this bloody scab even though it injures your inflated and fragile ego. Just remember the refusal to acknowledge your most loyal fans is the thing that created and maintaines this site. Sure the comments get a little randy from time to time but hey, it's poetic license. Sometimes the absurd is necessary to make a point. And to the posters on this site, yous some funny mfers!

I have, however, considered making up a Fairfax Underground t-shirt to wear to Jimmy's in Herndon in the hopes that LFF is there that night.

It's too much bother though and I'd have to get there too damn early to encounter a Mike who is sober enough to read it.

Whether LFF spent the night of his son's birth drinking all night with Jimmy,or spent the whole night drinking a week or two after his son's birth, both situations still amount to LFF being a grade A piece of shit. It's worse when he admits to one instance and pats himself on the back for his asshole behavior.

About WeightNot:

I am sure that any company that defaults on almost $4 MILLION DOLLARS and tells the Government they can take their $2 MILLION DOLLARS IN UNPAID BACK TAXES and shove it will treat you with nothing but honesty and the highest integrity. I mean, all that money that they are trying to keep from the Government must for those high quality mixer balls.

All kidding aside, I personally would never do business with any company or persons who owe/owes the Government over $2 million in unpaid taxes and is unresponsive to the Better Business Bureau. If they aren't afraid to screw over the I.R.S. or the B.B.B chance are good they aren't afraid to screw you over as well. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't mess with them.

Oh, and you can find Blender Balls and Bottles on Amazon starting in the $2-6 range.

LFF goes from "easing into the program" on Monday, to explaining why he was forced to put it off a week on Tuesday, to today being back on Weight Not. But don't expect any status updates, because what sponsor would want to be able to point to their product being effective.

July 16:
"In the coming weeks, ladies and gentlemen, I want you to follow along with me as I begin the Weight Not program. I'm tremendously excited."
"Starting this coming Monday you will be hearing my updates, I'll give you weekly updates to let you know how I'm doing on the Weight Not program."

Today:
"This is a very rigid part of the program."
"I did wait a week, which I wasn't going to do, originally I was going to start it the first week the baby was born, I'm doing it this week and I feel great."
"The supplements get your energy up high."
"I'm very very excited to be, uhh, you know sharing with you my progress with you. Not going to be weekly weigh ins, don't believe in that. I really think that what I want to do is I wanna just get back to getting on the stick. Now that the pregnancy is over and the baby's been born, it is time, and I do have an infant to think about."

None of Mike's "jokes" are as funny as his reaction to a Vine Video on today's TMOS, #865:

"This is not edited. This is... she says it three times, right?"

Oscar and Robb have to explain it to him. "It's a loop." "No no, it repeats because it's on Vine."

Mike: "Okay, so she only does it one time."

Check it out yourself at 1:14:14.

Someone should tell Mike that the more time he loses weight temporarily on a fad diet, the worse it is for his body in the long run, and the harder it will be next time. But of course he won't want to hear that, being Mr. Instant Gratification.

1. Mike (allegedly) trying to get people in trouble at work is so silly. That was a very dumb part of Don & Mike - they would go into big vague threat mode against callers like a middle school principal. The history of similar actions is persuasive.

2. I doubt the regular show comments would get anyone in trouble. Some of this family stuff wouldn't look good in a printout, though

I made a conscious decision long ago not to give a rat's ass about my name on FXU. Anybody wanna use it? Take it. I'll use another name. I bet I've had to replace my name ten times over the years, because people think they're sticking it to you when they register a board name. The trick is not to give a damn.
