So I used to work at the Ground round in Fairfax circle and Fritzbees 20+ years ago and we always spit in peoples food if they sent it back or if they treated the server badly.
What percentage of resturaunt food is spat upon?
I think its roughly 20%.
Would like to hear from other former or current food service industry workers.
Just gathering info on how I can eat less spit when dining out.

You said in your post that you spit in people's food if they sent it back or treated the server badly, so you already know how avoid having someone spit in your food: don't send your food back or treat your server badly.

What you're looking for is stories from other people describing their own adventures in disgusting and antisocial behavior, likely to amuse yourself.

I am of the opinion that one should not treat a server rudely; I always say "Please" and "Thank you", and I've never been served food so badly messed up that I felt the need to send it back.

That being said, if I caught some motherfucker spitting in my food, or found out he did afterwards, I can guaran-fucking-tee that I would be spending the rest of my evening in jail and he would be spending his in the hospital.

I am of same opinion about being polite to server nevertheless you do get the shitty server anyways. I don't say anything just try to avoid in the future or don't go back to the restaurant or bar.


There was this one bartendress I encountered who was always whining about not getting better tips. As I observed she always treated most customers like shit but she never figured that out.

If a waiter spit in my food, I would stalk him/her out of the restaurant at the end of their shift, find out where they lived, and then murder them in their sleep.

I worked in restaurants all through college and NO ONE I EVER worked with engaged in that behavior or would allow it. And we served plenty of assholes in that time.

Adulterating someone's food (spitting in it, etc.) is a FELONY.

I worked for a chain pizza restaurant when I was a teenager. Sometimes we would be short staffed and I would have to take orders and cook food. Ocasionally, when asshole customers would come in, I used to Jerk off on their pizza(s) while making them in the back room kitchen area. No. I never spit in food. We did tell people the shake machine was broken so we did not have to deal with cleaning it.

I told a lady off once when she was acting like an uppity asshole to me. I made her apologize and she was polite after that.
