I have suspicions that WTL was many more characters in this forum. He/she goes, disappears and so do about ten other posters. He was very self engaging, if that is in fact the case.

Wingnut's last post was about 6 weeks ago. Tomahawk has been infrequent for awhile now. WTL's last post was 20 days ago.
I don't think that he's more than one person. It's probably just another case of decent posters leaving because of the shithouse Off Topic has become.

I don't think they are the same person, but I do think that wtl and wingnut enjoyed debating eachother. So when one left the other got bored and stopped posting. What about registered voter? He's gone also.
Maybe they just got bored of arguing about the same thing for years? Maybe they will be back for election season?
I do think it is odd that WTL posted about 20 times a day for two years, then suddenly nothing.
He did seem older, I hope nothing bad happened. It makes me feel terrible about ribbing him for being elderly. =[
