the "i know a cop" sticker
Date: November 23, 2011 08:54AM

i've seen these on a bunch of cars... and i assume that's what it's for. it's black with a blue line in the middle. However, i could be a complete dipshit and not know what i'm talking about. Would anybody like to enlighten me on this?

According to my friend who has one on his car (given to him by an FBI employee (agent ??)the sticker means :

I am a cop,

There is a cop in my family or

I have a close friend who is a cop.

All of which is intended to preclude the vehicle from being stopped for some minor and\or higher degree of violation.

In other words the driver gets a free pass.

What facts? You're saying that the cops should be praised for doing their job, while them and their friends have a secret sticker to keep them from getting pulled over... You're probably one of them

The actual sticker is the symbol for fallen officers. Part of the sticker sale proceeds go to the charity for fallen officers.

Where did I prasie them, I just said they were doing their job unlike you who said they were hypocrites impling they do not arrest cops. Dont blame me because you cannot support your statement.

I only see one name here with "police" in it.

Are you more upset that the police have this sticker and get kudos or that you don't have one on your car?

I don't know if they make one for the "thin-ticket taker that sneaks their friends in the back door-line"

It's a way of mourning fallen police officers. They call it the thin blue line. Chances are many of the cars you see with those stickers are driven either by police officers or former police officers.

How many times have you seen cops even citing cops for speeding and other infractions. Especially the different Police agencies, none of them really get along, the Sheriff's dept hates the State Police, the city cops hate them all. It has to do with details, private details where they rake in the OT. That "i know a cop" means shit.

VERY RARELY, that's how many times.

Someone posted a video on here a few weeks ago of a cop getting pulled over for speeding, pulling his "cop card," and still getting a ticket. He was dumbfounded. So was I. It is EXTREMELY RARE that cops get ticketed by other cops.

As for the obsfuscation by "maybe not," the point is NOT that cops wouldn't SOMETIMES (not always) bust other cops who are IN GROSS VIOLATION of the law (such as driving when drunk), but that cops ROUTINELY give other cops/friends of cops A PASS for the kind of infractions (such as speeding tickets and other moving violations) that the rest of us mere ordinary citizens ROUTINELY get BUSTED for.

Now if you're a firefighter, cops hate you so you just keep that shit to yourself. I only know this from watching Rescue Me.
