Best Viewing Device for a Gaming System

I plan on upgrading to an HDMI XBOX 360 soon and would like to take advantage of the Black Friday deals on TV's / Monitors.

I know I am looking for something in the 22-28" range.

T.V. vs Monitor?

Simply put, I want the best quality screen and the best response time / refresh rate as possible.

Does the HDMI XBOX go up to 1080?

Enlighten me tech guru's.

I have a Bravia 32" LCD/LED backlit 1080p from Sony that I use for my PS3. HD is pretty nice because it won't strain your eyes out or give you headache from how fast it moves. I use HDMI as well and it works great. Just a suggestion. It also has bravia sync so it will sync to your Xbox360.

I think HDMI was introduced in 2007 as standard.

@ frisky - Theyve had it for awhile, just deciding to upgrade now.

@ billy - I feel like 32" is a little big. I like to sit somewhat close and be able to see the whole screen in my plane of view.. doesnt the screen seem to lag a bit when turning?

Do monitors have a better reaction times than tv's? or is this negligable.

What I mean to say is that my current xbox has the standard component hook-up 6 cables to the tv... with the "HD" switch as an option on it. (Which i think is only 720 or something bullshit)

The true HDMI hooks straight up to a HDMI connector on the tv/monitor and gives you 1080.

Is it shown that a t.v in the 20"'s range is better for accuracy?

Lets change this to a TV vs. Monitor question...
