Steve Jobs, one of America's most remarkable tech innovators and businessmen was a liberal and support of Obama in 2008. IN 2010 he offered campaign help to the struggling Obama, but felt that Obama's policies were horrible for business in the United States, but that maybe BArry would listen to Steve and other business leaders.


This was in 2010, BEFORE Obama started really kicking around the "blame the rich" (ie people making over $200K) and his scapegoating of "corporate jet owners".

He was a supporter, based on what, I don't know. My guess is Jobs supported Obamas 2008 platform on foreign policy, social policy and green energy but I'm just guessing.

But, he recognized a disconnect from what is good for American business. And again, this was in 2010, before Obama revved up the class warfare bullshit.

People often make the mistake of thinking because a guy is brilliant in one area he is also brilliant in other areas. No way in hell American voters would ever support a directive from the Federal government that schools stay open until 6pm and go 11 months out of the year.

Steve Jobs was brilliant in some areas. He had that savant like talent for innovating computer technology and I think he's made some business decisions that few Americans could ever hope to match. Jobs medical choices were probably based on his Buddhism or some kind of cult like distrust of moern medicine. An offshoot of the stupid counter culture shit Jobs probably wallowed in while growing up, and a shame.

Obama, meanwhile, was a hack lawyer and community organizer who has risen far past his level of incompetence. I wonder WTF Obama was ever brilliant in?

Am I the only one who is a little freaked out over the fact that it was only about one year ago the Khadaffy was camped out in his tent in New York while attending the UN meetings? If we were after him why didn't we nab him then? I know the Arab spring hadn't sprung yet but it's still weird. And it looks to me like Khaddafer was murdered by a bunch of tribalistic barbarians stabbing and shooting him while dragging him out of the bed of a pick up truck, not the Navy SEALs. From my reading of the article it sounds to me as if Obama is far too ideological and arrogant to see good advice when he gets it.

I think is better to have a president who is Harvard graduate than one who is a college drop-out, even if he is business successful. Lol

Gaddafi was on the run due to US backing of the rebels. Remember, he was in the midst of regaining control if rebel strongholds when we took action. It was a US drone that spotted the convoy. If you think the rebels could have done this without US help, you are mistaken.

Eliminating teacher unions and seizing control of schools from local jurisdictions is not something any POTUS has the authority to do.
