There is some evidence that a weak father figure and over-bearing mother could prompt genetically pre-disposed boys to become outwardly gay. I personally think you are born gay and that those with strong father figures might be more inclined to hide or repress their homosexuality. I guess it's entirely possible if a gay son has a close relationship with a stay-at-home father, he might be more inclined to pursue his homosexual tendencies if he feels his father would still accept him.

I prefer the "love and support your child regardless of their sexual orientation" approach to parenting...but maybe that's just me.

It's not the stay at home dad that makes a kid gay. It's that dad's husband that does it.
