I need a couple new t.v. shows to watch. Ever since Lost went away, House went crazy, Arrested Development didn't make it and Monk ended I can't find anything I like.

I do not watch much TV, but too many friends were raving about a show called "The Walking Dead", so I checked it out for myself. It is a very intriguing show --- do not let the "Dead / Zombie" part fool you, it is a drama set in apocalyptic times. The story lines are very cool and intertwine in different ways - the first season is at Redbox' now (6 episodes) and the new season starts sometime soon. (AMC channel)

I think the last show I actually followed was Northern Exposure way back in time.

If you watch the first few episodes and let the characters take shape - I think you, anyone, would really enjoy the series.

Frankenstein is on TCM right now. I don't like it when movies take place in foreign language-speaking countries and everyone's speaking English, though. I hate that. Dr. Frankenstein is German.

I'm NOT going to deal with it. I'm a woman, and I DON'T have to stand for this. Yes the director and the cast all spoke English. It was a Hollywood production. But that doesn't mean they couldn't all learn their lines in German. Mel Gibson had his actors learn some ancient language in Return of the Christ and Apocalypto. It can be done. Hollywood and American audiences are just LAZY. I can't deal with a bunch of Germans standing around in Germany speaking English. It's STUPID. The Last Emperor was the STUPIDEST thing I've ever seen......the little Chinese boy who's already speaking English eventually gets taught English by an English speaking English person, in English. I can't look past that.

Suspend your disbelief, Mizo... They're not REALLY speaking English... They're speaking their native tongue... You just have the privilege of understanding it... It's like a dub... only without the terrible voice acting... assuming that the acting isn't terrible...

What I don't like is when the actors have some terrible accent... They're in Germany and everyone's speaking English... Ok, I can deal with that... but I can't deal with the terrible "German-English" accent....

I have the same problem when the news plays a clip of some foreigner talking... and they play the voice of an interpreter on top of the actual clip... I HATE IT when the interpreter has a thick, almost phony, accent....

If you're going to do it, don't do it half-assed... and, for the love of God, don't line up or you'll get shredded...

TV sucks? I dont think so! So many good shows like Zeke and Luther and Heartland. I just love those shows. I also love Good Luck Charlie.

okay, in certain circumstances, it's almost acceptable. But in the extreme case of The Last Emperor, where you have a Chinese character speaking English being taught English by an English speaking character, and all their lessons are in English, not Chinese.........it makes my head 'asplode.

Mel had balls, shooting Return of The Christ and Apocalypso in ancient languages. That was tits.

Br Ba is always pepic. i would suggest starting from season 1 though.

walking dead was ok, i watched a few but would always forget when it would come on so i sort of fell out of it.

if you own a netflix account, check out Party Down. ended show, has two seasons, but is probably some of the best stuff to ever come out of fred savage. (you read correctly)

stay away from the new Two and 1/2 men, the show has lost it and is nothing without the sheen.

i know you dont have HBO, but i show i have sort of fell into lately is How To Make It In America. decent so far, has potential.

it all sort of depends on what you are into. there is some good stuff out there. just have to find it, and when you do, you have to endure the commercials.

"Community" is my favorite show on TV right now, but I can definitely see why most people think it's weird.

"Parks & Recreation" and "Breaking Bad" are both great, and you can stream both from Netflix. Pro Tip: If you watch "Breaking Bad", make sure to start from the beginning.
