Why Is Rick Perry Going to Debate Instead of Putting out Texas Wildfires By Himself?

In response to recent Tea Bagger rants about Obama having the audacity not to sit in the White House every waking minute of the day to deal with every event, big or small, happening the country, why on Earth is Rick Perry going to the debate in California tomorrow night instead of fighting the wildfires in Texas with his bare hands?

I mean, don't Texans deserve a governor who is incapable of using a cell phone or computer to coordinate things back home? After all, the only way a leader can be effective is to be at the location of an event, right? I mean, Steve Jobs could only effectively run Apple's operations around the world by being at every single location all of the time, every minute of the day...right?
