Yes, Christianity can get confused and mixed up with politics. However, that's basically due to the way some people interpret it. But, with Islam, the politics is almost built into the religion, not just how it's interpreted.

You are referring to theocracies. The American government isn't a Christian theocracy, but that doesn't mean attempts haven't been made to turn it into one...

The age of consent varies even here from state to state. I think such "norms" on the age of sexual consent vary depending on many factors. There is no right or wrong answer as long as the encounter is consentual and consistent with the norms and laws of that society.

You are hardly an expert on Muslim culture. Again, marriage is not always equated to having sex. Are their pedophiles in in Islamic countries, of course. Do you find it to be more commome in poor, rural, uneducated societies, sure. Can you read anything you want into any religious document to make the point you want to make, sure! Do you want to convince yourself that you are some how superior to someone else. Sure, I guess you need to.

Just an observation, look at all the western women trafficked over to islamic countries for sexual slavery.
