Do you prefer the top or bottom on a bunk bed?

Well FFU?

I'll start...
I prefer the top. Despite the risk of not having a roll-out bar and falling 6 feet in my sleep after I rollover, I find the risk of being pee'd on or crushed by the top person more worrisome in the event I was on the bottom.

I miss the days of youth where I was tickled shitless that I got to sleep "up in the air" when I got top bunk. Nowaday I'm too fuckin tall, and I can't sit up in bed onthe top bunk anymore....feelsbadman.jpg

As a kid I always clamoured to sleep on the top bunk then spent the night worrying that I'd fall off.

I used to always want the top as a kid, but then when I went to camp one year I was glad that I was assigned the bottom bunk (It was hotter than hell, so everyone on the top bunks ended up having to place their mattresses on the floor). As for sleeping in barracks, I was always a little nervous of falling off the top bunk (It was fun playing cards on the top bunk, though). Plus, if you're on the bottom bunk you can easily get up and move around without waking anyone up.

Every heard of hot racking? I'd rather sleep in the driveway than a bunk bed......ever again. This is a transport but there wasn't really much more space per capita on an older WWII era destroyer. And some of them were still in use in the 80's.

If I want someone sleeping over me...I'll invite her to get on top.

I have never been in a bunk bed before, but if I had too choose it would be top.
Only if there was a rail though.

Right. Because you often fall out of a normal bed?

I've never just rolled out of any bed, so why would it be any different in a top bunk?
