Question about registered sex offenders
Posted by: Anybody ()

How long does a dirty sex offender have to re register at an address after they are released from jail? I am asking because I have one in my neighborhood who reappeared almost 2 weeks ago after a long stint in jail. However, on the VA SOR he is listed as incarcerated. I was always under the impression that they had to re register immediately. Anyway, I'm starting to get worried that I'm living by an unaccounted for and possibly wanted offender. If anyone knows, that is cool.

Did you not read anything I wrote? I said I am seeing this person in my neighborhood even though the website says he's still in jail.

Hey dumbshit...had you used the link Ms Pro provided you could have answered your question yourself. I suspect you knew that and also already know what the website says about registering. You just want to stir up some outrage.

Lazy ass...

Every person required to register shall register in person within three (3) days of his release from confinement in a state, local or juvenile correctional facility or, if a sentence of confinement is not imposed, within three days of suspension of the sentence or in the case of a juvenile of disposition.

And before you get all pumped up over this guy not being on the list, either the state doesn't "know who you are" and are dragging their feet or maybe he's a fucking criminal and doesn't give a shit?

Why don't you ask him why he hasn't registered the next time you see him.

Yeah..that's the ticket.
