For the most part, people with money and assets are boring or sympathetic when they are arrested or pulled over. Poor people usually do dumb things and there is some entertainment value there. Let's see, do they really want to show a cop responding to a suburban mom in a predominately white neighborhood complaining some teenager spray painted her rock garden, or do they want to show a Hispanic or black running through the woods after dropping a pipe on the ground. I have never seen the former on Cops, but I have seen the later, a lot.

They did get a lot of whites when they were busting johns, but that wasn't entertaining, it was pathetic. They do go after drunken college kids which is very entertaining.

I've seen a ton of rednecks on that show getting busted in trailer parks. I've never considered it particularly biased. I will say, though, that I don't recall them following a lot of black or Latino cops around.

The point of the video is that the creator of the show "COPS" is intentionally showing more White criminals than brown criminals - despite admitting that crime statistics are the exact opposite - in order to avoid protraying "people of color" in a bad light and being accused of promoting racism.
