They first need to get rid of that 3 strikes and your out law. I have family members serving time because of that stupid shit. As someone whose been through the California Prison system, the CDoC sucks. The way they treat inmates is inhumane and they've been warned about as far back as the 1989 when they first opened up the Pelican Bay. So yea, it's been ongoing issue with them.

No shit, that's why I moved outta that place. The Criminal Justice there is fucked. I got arrested for white color crime, but got treated like a common criminal. They put u in with retarded Mexicans and Blacks. When I complained and had my attorney file a lawsuit i got put in 4 different institutions. They retaliated against me and put me in the Valley State when there was racial tensions going on. Mind you this was 1997 with almost half of the state prisons on lockdown because of that. Never returned to state after I got out.
