I don't know if Obama has anything wrapped up. But the GOP sure the hell is acting like he does.
I think Obama is benefiting from the fact that there are no good options on the table for the economy. Anything the GOP proposes can get quickly knocked down because, quite frankly, they suck.
I think Obama's plan is to laud what he can from his record and let the GOP candidates bash themselves on the rocks with their bad proposals. Then, if he gets re-elected, hopefully Obama can use his first two years tackling entitlements and getting some of this shit fixed.
