A former Minnesota nurse convicted of aiding suicides by trolling Internet chat rooms and encouraging depressed people to kill themselves received just 360 days in jail in the sentence handed down Wednesday.
William Melchert-Dinkel, 48, was convicted in March of two counts of aiding suicide in the deaths of an English man and a Canadian woman. Under state law, he faced a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine for each count.

I saw this story on cable news a few days ago. What a sick puppy this dude was/is. They showed a pic of the girl who jumped off the bridge in Canada and she looked pretty innocent and cute. It sucks that people having a hard time in their lives run into a dickhead like this guy.
The weird thing about this guy was that he took on another persona to provoke the suicides. When I first heard about it, I thought they were just talking about funny remarks and images like above, something no normal person would react to adversely. This guy took it a step beyond and posed as a female nurse and encouraged suicide pacts while really trying to gain confidence of his victims.
The perp is a male nurse (which is a suspect proffession) and supposedly a church going family man. How on Earth do explain this kind of pathology?
UNfortunately wth a sentence of 360 days, he'll never make it out of PC in the local jail. He deserves knuckles to the teeth and cocks in his ass for this. Sick fucking people.

I'm so sick of hearing about internet bullying and assholes that go online to proclaim they're going to commit suicide and expect sympathy from everyone.
Was it a good thing that the guy convinced her to commit suicide? No, but what the fuck did she expect? If you really want to kill yourself, do it. Don't go online and expect people on a message board to hold your hand every time you have a problem.
Prime example on this board is that douchebag Mr. Misery who pretends to be suicidal about every few weeks, just to see who's with him and who's against him. Quite frankly, I now wish he would just go ahead and do it. Whether it's serious or some failed attempt at humor doesn't matter anymore.
Also, how many of you have ever been stuck in hours of traffic near a bridge when someone is threatening to jump off it? How many of you wish the asshole would go ahead and jump, so we could all go home?
People need a thicker skin and learn that the internet is not the real world.
