Need name of PC game - maybe 20+ years ago

The game was exploring a house - rooms, etc - there might have been a slightly haunted nature to it - don't remember. There was mention of various relatives, etc, and maybe clues about them and so on. I don't remember much else about it - the timeframe the game was sold MAY have been similar to the original MYST. I believe the game was more graphically active than MYST (which was pretty much still images).

Anyone got a clue?
